Weather: Overcast
Track: Dead The track was inspected by stewards after the previous days snow and overnight frost. A decision was made to harrow the track to loosen the surface which was frozen in places. This proved successful and the meeting proceeded without incident.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Race 7: SEISMIC STORM weighed in at 30.2kg which was 2.2kg over her last race start weight on 12 July. Trainers A.McCook and J.Jopson were fined $100 under the Minor Infringement System for a breach of Rule 69.

Race 1	Otago First4 Sprint - C1 - 310	In the run to the turn SNICKLE FRITZ was squeezed between HOMEBUSH KALAMA and BOMBAY TRAM losing ground as a result. On the turn GENISTA OUTLAW shifted out checking the running of MR CAMEROON and SHEZA COOL ONE.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 545	HIT THE LIP dwelt at the start losing several lengths. Shortly after the start OKUKU SURPRISE was squeezed between OZARKS CROWN and OKUKU LILLY losing momentum. OKUKU LILLY then ran out on the first bend forcing OKUKU SURPRISE and MISS OZARK wider on the track. OZARKS CROWN ran very wide in the back straight.
Race 3	Herbert Family Sprint - C0 - 310	SECRET ICE and HAMPDEN PRIDE were both very slow to begin.
Race 4	Speedprint Shop Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	BELFAST CHUKKA and SECRET VENUS were slow to leave the starting boxes. Into the turn CLUTTERING ran outwards and checked the running of SECRET VENUS.
Race 5	Herbert Family Stakes - C1/2 - 545	HERE EYE AM was slow to jump away. Shortly after the start RONRAY CRUISER has checked WAVE YA HAND when crossing down to the rail. CAWBOURNE JAKE was checked by BOTANY ANN losing ground as they made the first bend. WAVE YA HAND made the first bend awkwardly running wider.
Race 6	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C2 - 310	Into the first bend ANOTHER GON when going forward to assume the lead shifted in and checked HOMEBUSH TIME. Also into the first bend COT CASE CUTIE who was racing further back in the field shifted in checking THUNDA THIGHS. On the bend TOWER had to check off the heels of KING COOP to gain clear running.
Race 7	Green Island Barber Stakes - C1 - 545	CAWBOURNE HEIDI was slow to begin. SERAPHINE JEWEL ran wide on the first bend. SEISMIC STORM and LAGER IN PARIS bumped heavily on the first bend resulting in both dogs falling but eventually regaining their feet and completing the event. Stewards ordered a veterinary check of both SEISMIC STORM and LAGER IN PARIS which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 8	Keyosk Service Bar Sprint - C1 - 310	CEE CEE ARE raced wide throughout. Just after the start BLACK TRIGGER shifted in checking HOMEBUSH NORMAN. Into the first bend HOMEBUSH NORMAN shifted down to the rail checking WOOF INGILLTAB.
Race 9	Carollyn's Gold Card Stakes - C3/4 - 545	REAL SLIM SHADY raced wide down the back straight. Into the final bend GUTTER BLACK had to shift out off the heels of MORIARTY to find clear racing room. WODSTON BOBO lost its footing momentarily on the home turn losing momentum.
Race 10	St Kilda Tavern Sprint - C3 - 310	ACHEW ACHEW was slow to begin. Into the first bend HOMEBUSH LENNY made contact with the running rail when crowded by HOMEBUSH HELEN who shifted in. This resulted in both runners losing considerable ground and finishing at the rear of the field.
Race 11	Commercial Tavern Green Island Sprint - C4 - 310	FREDDIE BAXTER shifted in on jumping away tightening CAWBOURNE JODIE, GEORGIE LEE and BRUNO This resulted in BRUNO being dictated inwards onto AKON STAR who made contact with GENISTA LIGHTNIN. Into the first bend FREDDIE BAXTER continued to shift in tightening ALBIES LAD and BLACK MERCEDES. Further back in the field AKON STAR shifted in crowding GENISTA LIGHTNIN who lost momentum. On the turn AKON STAR ran on to the heels of BLACK MERCEDES resulting in both runners being checked.
Race 12	End of Season Sprint - C5 - 310	Shortly after the start SUNSET BOMBER shifted out into the line of DA BOSS who was checked.
