Judicial report: BIRCHGROVE BILLY the winner of race 6 was selected as a swab dog following race 6. However, after the Stewards were advised that the kennel occupied by the dog had not been thoroughly cleaned after the previous race meeting and that there was evidence of blood in that kennel, BIRCHGROVE BILLY was released without a swab sample being taken. The matter was reported to the meeting Manager and an assurance was given that in future all kennels will be presented in clean and tidy condition.

Race 1	Awapuni Stakes C0 - C0 - 457	PRINCE PARADE and THRILLING SADIE were slow to begin losing three lengths. THRILLING SADIE made up ground but had to check over the heels of SASSAFRAS on the first corner losing ground again but recovered to finish in 2nd place. PRINCE PARADE ran wide covering extra ground on the bend and into the straight and finished well back. RONAN MACHALL shifted in running to the first turn and jostled JUKE BOX BOY who lost ground and he then shifted in on the first corner , made contact with the rail losing several lengths and finished in last place. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and stood down for 6 days with a head injury.
Race 2	GEON Wellington C0 - C0 - 375	OKAY'S CHESNEY was slow to begin losing four lengths but made up ground well to finish in 4th place. CLUAIN MEALA shifted in sharply from the start and caused checks to UNTEACHABLE, HOMEBUSH EDDIE and ROSEMORE OSTI. ROSEMORE OSTI recovered to go up and challenge the leader on the bend but faltered and drifted back to finish several lengths last and she was carried from the track, examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a spike wound and a carpus sprain. UNTEACHABLE checked off the heels of CLUAIN MEALA on the first corner losing several lengths and finished well back.
Race 3	Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375	WAFFLER shifted in from the start and pushed SHEEZA MEESHA onto PADDO SCORE and WHERE'S WALLY who were both checked with PADDO SCORE losing several lengths and all chance. OH EMM EYE was checked on the bend and fell and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a pectoral muscle injury and bruiosing to a hind leg. WAFFLER checked across the heels of the winner HOMEBUSH ALEX a few strides short of the winning post but recovered to finish in 2nd place.
Race 4	Peter Sinclair Photos C1 - C1 - 457	COUGH IT UP shifted in from the start and caused checks to THRILLING SOUND and WALK DA TORQUE who both lost ground and settled well back. THRILLING SOUND recovered to make up ground well and finished in 2nd place but WALK DA TORQUE then raced very wide covering extra ground and finished last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a toe injury.
Race 5	Shannon Dash C2 - C2 - 375	LOTTO FUN shifted in from the start and checked REDLINE CHAOS and GROOVY SHANE who settled well back. REDLINE CHAOS stayed back throughout and finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with abrasions over a toe joint
Race 6	Hokowhitu Stakes C2 - C1/2 - 457	HI JEAN and GO BOOF bumped together on the first corner and they both lost a little ground.
Race 7	Marton Dash C5 - C5 - 375	SALLY SAY SO and DADDY LOWE were checked on the bend and both lost ground and finished in the rear group.
Race 8	Outback Trading Co Ltd Manawatu Cup C5 Final - C5f - 457	FREDDY JOHN was midfield on the first corner but was checked losing three lengths but he recovered from a position near the rear to finish very well for 2nd place.
Race 9	Manawatu Raceway Dash C3 - C3 - 375	JUST TOM was slow to begin losing two lengths but he made up ground to finish in 4th place. THEODORE WEST shifted in on the first corner and checked CRAZY BABY and AKAISHA BALE who then ran wide on the bend covering extra ground and they finished at the rear. FLAG WAVER was also inconvenienced in the incident and lost a little ground.
Race 10	Fielding Sprint C4 - C4 - 375	ANOTHER DRIZZLE began very awkwardly losing several lengths and all chance and he tailed the field throughout to finish in last place. SEDGEBROOK ELITE, KEACHY'S MATE, CALYPSO RUMBLE, LARA PINTER and CAWBOURNE MO were involved in bumping and checks on the home turn and they all lost varying amounts of ground.
Race 11	www.racingdogs.co.nz C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	GREYWINDS KOBY began very awkwardly losing several lengths and all chance and he stayed back to finish last. CAUGHT THE EYE shifted in from the start and causing bumping and checks to LOTTO BIFF, WANDY KYLE and CONFISCATED with WANDY KYLE being the most affected. LOTTO BIFF shifted in on the first corner and checked TORQUED UP who lost three lengths.
Race 12	Pahiatua Stakes C5 - C5 - 457	MICKER MORRIS drew box 8 and was the slowest to begin but recovered to finish in 1st place. RYBENBROOK FLASH shifted in from the start and checked JUST DEFY THAT, THRILLING RUST and NIP TUCK who all lost a little ground. NIP TUCK was handy approaching the home turn but ran wide and lost ground and JUST DEFY THAT also ran wide and he finished in last place.
