| Race 1 | NZRS Heat 1 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 1 | CRYSTAL KATIE went up with the box lids and lost five lengths and all chance and finished in last place. One of the favourites BOTANY BARB was handy enough on the first corner but was checked losing four lengths when runners drawn further out shifted in onto her line of running. THRILLING LEWIS suffered a broken toe on a fore foot and was stood down for 28 days. |
| Race 2 | NZRS Heat 2 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 2 | SCOTT NO FUNDING and ANOTHER MATE began well and raced up handy until the first corner where they were checked and lost ground with SCOTT NO FUNDING being the most affected and she lost five lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. ANOTHER MATE was observed to check over the heels of THRILLING BASH on the home turn losing further ground and he finished in 5th place. |
| Race 3 | NZRS Heat 3 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 3 | GROOVY BANDIT was a little slow to begin and he settled at the rear and stayed back throughout to finish in 2nd last place. SEDGEBROOK ELITE lay in onto CORPORAL JONES on the bend and they jostled for several strides and lost momentum. |
| Race 4 | NZRS Heat 4 - NZRSq - 305 Heat 4 | FLAG WAVER was the slowest to begin but then had every opportunity but only ran on fairly to finish in 5th place. KAZZ RAZZ and UPAHUT STAR led in the run to the first corner but then bumped together and lost three lengths. KAZZ RAZZ recovered to finish in 3rd place but UPAHUT STAR drifted back to last and finished in that position. |
| Race 5 | Mickey's Super Liquor C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | BOTANY MATTHEW shifted in from the start and checked JOE BANNER, HI JEAN and BIGTIME COWELL who all lost ground and settled at the rear. BOTANY MATTHEW and JOE BANNER then bumped together going into the first bend and BOTANY MATTHEW ran a little wide losing ground. Soon after, HI JEAN checked over the heels of BIGTIME COWELL and lost two lengths. HI JEAN shifted in on the final bend and caused a slight check to JODIE BALE who lost a little ground but then dropped out to finish several lengths last. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with wrist pain. |
| Race 6 | Palamountains Nutrition C2 - C2 - 305 | REDLINE CHAOS shifted out on the first corner and caused jostling and checks to DOING THE TIME and HOMEBUSH TAYLOR who was most affected and she went back to last and finished in that position. Soon after, MISS COOKA shifted out and caused checks to IMA ROYAL and BRUTUS FINALE and they both lost ground and stayed back to finish in the rear group. |

| Race 9 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C4 - C4 - 305 | CAWBOURNE JOSE shifted in soon after the start and caused jostling to MIRAGE, MATES UNITE and BOTANY ZENA and MATES UNITE was eventually checked losing three lengths. |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete Services C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | SLICE OF MAGIC was slow to begin losing three lengths. GUY BAXTER shifted in on the first corner and crowded BUDDY BROKE and they bumped together for a couple of strides and ran wide into the bed losing three lengths and any chance of a first four placing. |
| Race 11 | Media Works C5 - C5 - 305 | LIL LARRIKIN drew box 8 and raced wide throughouut covering extra ground and finished in last place. MAGICATE was the slowest to begin losing two lengths but then secured a clear run through on the rail to finish in 2nd place. BEARLY NORMAL was in 2nd place approaching the straight entrance but ran wide and this probably predjudiced her chance of finishing in a closer placing then 3rd. ASHBY ELLY checked over the heels of STIFF on the home turn and shifted out to collided with BERELLA CHELSEA and ASHBY ELLY lost three lengths in the incident and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 12 | Guthrie Bowron C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | IMA SPICE drew box 1 and was crowded and jostled as RONS SECRET moved towards the rail and IMA SPICE lost two lengths but ran on well for 2nd placing. THRILLING BUDDY shifted out on the first corner and forced KERRIES FANTASY to run wide into the bend. THRILLING BUDDY continued to move out and collided with KERRIES FANTASY on the bend with both dogs losing ground and they finished at the rear. |
