Judicial report: SERGIO one of the favoured runners in the Wanganui Cup was a late scratching on vets advice at kenneling when found to be suffering from an acute infection 2nd toe left hind foot
Trainer Mr G Harding explained to the stewards that he was unaware of the problem before he left his home base earlier today ,and is upset that the dog was unable to take his place in the field .

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 520	Soon after leaving the boxes MY GIRL COOKIE(fav) raced across towards the rail causing BONNIE BOUCHEA to run in on to ASK PLEASE who ran out of room and fell ASK PLEASE recovered his footing and followed the field around to the catching area some distance behind ,he was sent for a vet check where he was found to have pain in right triceps muscle with a 10 day stand down recommended As the field raced in to the first turn REQUEST FUNDIING ran out wide in taking evasive action to keep of the heels of MY GIRL COOKIE and collided with ERICS SONG causing him to stumble and race wide in to the back straight
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C2 - C2 - 305	In the run down to the first turn CATCH A DREAM came across on to BOMBER MAN and SOUTHERN EIGHTY causing them to be tightened for room for a few strides and they lost ground about 4 or so lengths at that point
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	In the run to the first turn MY BAD JONNY was forced to check back off the heels of CAUGHT THE EYE resulting in MY BAD JONNY running wide around the top bend ,REGAL DANCER also ran wide around the first bend As the field made their way towards the home straight OKAYS DERMATOFF was severly tightened and hampered for some distance by TAILS OFF who was attempting to make ground up and get over to the rail,OKAYS DERMATOFF lost his position and a few lengths which may have cost him a closer finish
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305	IMPERATIVE went up with the lids and lost about 3 or so lengths ,he ran on to finish in midfield As the field raced in to the first turn MISS TYRA came across and collided with CATCH A PENNIE who was pushed on to the heels of PARRA SPARRA ,resulting in CATCH A PENNIE going up in the air for a stride and going straight back to the rear of the field where she was unable to get back in to contention from there on in
Race 5	Mickey's Super Liquor C0 Final - C0f - 520	From the start JUST TIANA and BREAKING MELODY came across on to Ooh LA COOL a few strides further JUST TIANA came in on Ooh LA COOL again causing her to lose ground and she had to race wide in to and around the firt bend As the field went past the post first time DANS CONQUEST and Ooh LA COOL came together resulting in Ooh LA COOL having to check back off heels and lost ground racing wide in to the bend ,but ran on well from there on in to finish in 2nd placing at the line
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C5 - C5 - 305	All clear
Race 7	Morrie Gibbons Signs C5 - C5 - 305	Soon after the start BOTANY BARB came across on to GOT THE JUICE and THRILLING BASH tightening them up for a few strides
Race 8	Keenan Concrete Wanganui Cup Final C5 - C5f - 520	SERGIO a favoured runner in this race was late scratched at kenneling when he was found to be suffering from an acutely infected toe with a five day stand down recommended From the jump BIGTIME GEM made a run straight across the face of the feild colliding with GUY BAXTER who was forced over on to THREE INCH NAIL who then made contact with LITTLE MOTHER (fav) causing these dogs to become unbalanced for a few strides By the time they recovered their balance the other 4 dogs had got a few lengths on them LITTLE MOTHER and THREE INCH NAIL raced wide in and around the first bend and were unable to make up the ground there after to be able to trouble the winner
Race 9	Broad Roofing Services C4 - C4 - 305	Soon after leaving the boxes LIL LARRIKIN came out on to ROYAL PARDON and ERIC PHOENIX he tried to hold his ground this resulted in CAWBOURNE MO being squeezed back to the rear from in between them at that point, a few strides further on FLAG WAVER came across on to THREILLING BUDDY and ERIC PHOENIX as ROYAL PARDON came out in to the centre of the track causing them to be tightened and being checked back towards the rear ,CAWBOURNE MO made contact with the heels of ERIC PHOENIX as he went back through the field ,and he was further checked again as THRILLING BUDDY cut in down towards the rail ERIC PHOENIX was sent for a vet check as a precaution where no abnormalities were found
Race 10	Media Works C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	From the jump RYBENBROOK JOSH came over swiftly looking for the rail and ran in on AINT NO SAINT, BUDDY BROKE , RYBENBROOK FLASH and LAGOON BEACH BOY these dogs all came together and jostled for several strides this left a clear path for SEPTEMBER BLUE to be able to cross over unimpeded to the lead and went on to win well
Race 11	Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305	SEDGEBROOK ELITE went up with the lids and was last away by 3 or so lengts in the run down to the first turn JENNINGS from out wide came down on to MATES UNITE, MOLLY DARLING and HOMEBUSH DUSTY causing them to check back losing ground PRINCESS SNOWEY was also checked back to the rear as GROOVY BANDIT was pushed over on to her resulting in her running out of room near the rail
Race 12	Couper Catering C3 - C3 - 305	From the boxes MISTER WHISKER came across hard on to IGNITE THE LIGHT and CRYSTAL KATIE causing them to be checked back towards the rear at that point
