WINSOME OPAWA ran inwards racing into the first bend and tightened MICKER MORRIS and TIAN HAO SURFER. |

TIMS TIGER ran inwards soon after the jump causing a check to SUGAR PLUM who lost ground. Soon after this MAINLAND STAR ran inwards and checked SHUNT APPEAL, TIMS TIGER and SABRE DANCE with SABRE DANCE losing a few lengths. Into the back straight SUGAR PLUM was again checked as TIMS TIGER angled towards the rail. ARCHIES JET was found to have split webbing following the race with a fourteen day stand down recommended. |

| Race 9 | Buy Sell & Exchange NZ Stayers Cup - C2dq - 732 Heat 1 | NINA'S GIRL ran wide for a good part of the journey covering extra ground. On the home turn NINA'S GIRL ran outwards and checked the favourite THRILLING QUEST for a stride with this dog losing some momentum. Gary Cleeve, the Trainer of the winner DEVOTCHKA, was questioned in regards to the improved performance of his bitch. He stated that the dog struggles against the C5 middle distance runners but was suited by the easier field and staying distance of tonights event. |

In the run to the first bend SOFIAS GIRL ran outwards checking UNION STEAM. Into the back straight THRILLING REIGN and an improving AWESOME BENDER came together on two occasions with AWESOME BENDER losing ground. |

Soon after OSWALD BOATENG and CAWBOURNE JODIE collided. CAWBOURNE JODIE was in more strife shortly after as KNOX ran outwards and OKUKU BOMBER ran inwards into the bend. On the home turn OSWALD BOATENG and OKUKU BOMBER came together with OKUKU BOMBER losing momentum. |
