Track: Heavy The track surface was very slushy on top as a result of rain in the days preceding the meeting. Race 2 was delayed by at least two minutes due to track staff grooming the track surface.
Scales: Correct at 30kgs
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Following Race 4 an objection was lodged under Rule 91.1.c by trainers P CONNER (Secret Nicole and Belfast Chukka) and J GUTHRIE (Black Ozark), competitors in the race. Their objection was based on SOSAN (D Roberts) not having completed a qualifying trial in accordance with Rule 62.3. It was determined that SOSAN had competed in a Performance Qualifying Trial over 400 metres at Richmond on 18 May 2011 before Stewards and had competed against only one other greyhound in that trial. The objectors stated that that was contrary to the conditions as set out under Rule 62.3. After considering the objection and the reasons as outlined Stewards deemed that Rule 59.2 confirmed that the grading of all imported greyhounds shall be determined by the Chief Executive or his/her appointee and shall be subject to the policy for calculating such grading as established from from time to time by the Board. Accordingly the objection was dismissed.

Race 1	Otago First4 Sprint - C1 - 310	SECRET FORTUNE was very slow to jump. CEE CEE ARE ran out sharply after the jump colliding with RANGITOTO ROHI. TUI HOTLIPS ran inwards after jumping colliding with the running rail into the bend and losing ground. Around the bend OPAWA BLACK moved off the rail colliding with SLATERS MATE who in turn moved out onto CEE CEE ARE. TUI HOTLIPS was vetted following the event and found free of injury.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 545	MR.KNOWALL checked out off the heels of SHADOW WOLF into the first bend resulting in FIXER McKAY, OZARKS CROWN and MISS OZARK being forced wide around the bend losing ground.
Race 3	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C1 - 310	LIGHTNING FEVER was slow to jump. OPAWA THORN ran outwards after the jump colliding with FIERY FLOWER who was forced out onto SHEZA COOL ONE and LYNDOUR GEM all losing ground and coming back on TARGET HAND and NIGELS DRIVING who also sustained checks.
Race 4	Speedprint Shop Sprint - C0 - 310	PIGALLE ran out after the jump checking SOSAN, SECRET NICOLE and BLACK OZARK. Into the bend OLD OZARK ran out sharply colliding with SOSAN, SECRET NICOLLE and BELFAST CHUKKA all losing ground.
Race 5	A.F. Johnston Electrical Stakes - C1 - 545	SLIGHTLY AMAZING and OPAWA JACK were slow to jump. Into the first bend MY BLIND SIDE clipped the heels of OPAWA JACK losing ground and settling last.
Race 6	Herbert Family Stakes - C2 - 545	Into the first bend CROSSFIRE MAX checked out off the hindquarters of HONKING HORNS checking HOMEBUSH FRASER and HIGHGROVE. Around the bend PRETTY GIRL faultered badly when in the lead running outwards and badly checking CASLEY. PRETTY GIRL did not complete the race with a veterinary check revealing a torn right shoulder muscle with a 28 day stand down recommended.
Race 7	Green Island Barber Sprint - C2 - 310	JOHNNIE GEORGE was slow to jump. From the jump ANOTHER LEGIN pushed outwards and checked TOWER. Into the turn COT CASE CUTIE ran outwards and forced THUNDA THIGHS and BOSCA FELLA wide. Into the straight COT CASE CUTIE again ran out and forced VAMPIRES SHADOW wide. TOWER checked outwards off the rear of COT CASE CUTIE and went back on top of THUNDA THIGHS and JOHNNIE GEORGE.
Race 8	St Kilda Vet Centre Stakes - C3 - 545	CAWBOURNE JAKE was checked after running out after the jump and colliding with REAL FIRE POWER. Into the first bend JAG YOU ARE moved out off the heels of REAL SLIM SHADY running wide around the bend as a result.
Race 9	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C3 - 310	Into the bend GOSS SAGE moved outwards tightening DONNA BAXTER who came back on SURFIN BIZAAR who in turn was forced out onto LILETTE BALE, all three dogs sustaining checks.
Race 10	St Kilda Tavern Stakes - C4 - 545	SUPERIOR RANK and TIJAN were slow to jump.
Race 11	Herbert Family Sprint - C5 - 310	From the jump FIREMAN'S RAFFLE ran outwards and checked WICHITA LINEMAN. Into the turn SWIP TASTIC moved outwards into the path of WICHITA LINEMAN who went back on top of CAWBOURNE CART with a resulting check to CREPE MYRTLE and ULTIMATE SPICE who were forced wide on the turn.
Race 12	The Shortest Day Sprint - C4 - 310	UNO JEWEL, WHERES JOHN CEE and AKAISHA BALE came together soon after the jump. AKAISHA BALE ran down to the rail into the bend forcing WATERHOUSE onto BRUNO who was checked.
Race 13	Racing Again Tuesday 5th July Sprint - C5 - 310	MUSTARD FUDGE and BLACK PAN were slow to jump. Into the bend GENERAL VIEW tightened ASK THE BANDIT who was checked coming back on GENISTA GARDENS. Into the straight GENISTA GARDENS and ASK THE BANDIT came together when racing at the rear.
