Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 520	One of the favourites GREYWINDS KOBY went up with the box lids losing five lengths and he stayed back to finish in 6th place. THRILLING ANNIE drew box 8 and was pushed wide over extra ground on the first bend and also finished well back.
Race 2	NZRS Ht 1 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 1	The favourite WINSOME OPAWA was a little slow to begin and soon after was checked when BUDDY BROKE shifted in. WINSOME OPAWA lost ground again entering the back straight when checking off the heels of SEDGEBROOK ELITE and he never recovered from the checks and finished in 5th place.
Race 3	Harrison Hire Master C4 - C4 - 305	HOMEBUSH DUSTY was slow to begin and lost three lengths. LIL LARRIKIN, CAWBOURNE JADE and PALOMINE jostled together soon after the start and lost ground. PRINCESS SNOWY shifted out on the first corner and was hit from behind by OPAWA MEGASTAR and they both lost ground. Soon after PRINCESS SNOWY and LIL LARRIKIN collided on the bend losing further ground and they finished in the rear group.
Race 4	NZRS Ht 2 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 2	MY BAD JONNY begin a little awkwardly and settled back in the field and stayed well back to the finish. PRETTY SECRET began on terms with the field but drifted soon after. She then raced up inside OPAWA SECRET going into the back straight but was checked losing five lengths and finshed at the rear. PRETTY SECRET was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. The Trainer J.Woolston Bell advised the Stewards the following morning that PRETTY SECRET was suffering from a hock strain and would be spelled.
Race 5	Palamountains Nutrition C2 - C2 - 520	BLACK SHELLEEN was bumped on the first bend when JOE BANNER moved through on the inside and he lost ground. He then started to make up ground down the back straight but was checked again when attempting to race up inside JOE BANNER and he went back to the rear and finished in last place.
Race 6	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	BANDANNA PETE was slow to begin losing four lengths but he ran on well to finish in 3rd place. OLYMPIC ACE shifted in with a circuit to run and crowded SAM I AM, TAILS OFF and KILMAINHAM CHILL with TAILS OFF the most affected and he lost two lengths.
Race 7	Mickey's Super Liquor C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	SWITCH FORWARD shifted in on the first corner and checked MATES UNITE, RIPPED JEANS and ARIAL BAXTER who all lost ground. RIPPED JEANS recovered the best to finish in 2nd place with the other two dogs finishing at the rear. ARIAL BAXTER and IMA SPICE collided on the bend and lost ground.
Race 8	Keenan Concrete, Wanganui C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	PRETTY GOOD and LITTLE MOTHER appeared to come together on the first bend and it was suspected that PRETTY GOOD turned his head out towards LITTLE MOTHER. However, it could not be conclusively established from the available D.V.D films whether this was as a result of the contact between the two dogs so no further action was taken other than to order a Vet check on PRETTY GOOD which cleared the dog of any injury.
Race 9	Wanganui Security C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	FIRE HAWK shifted in soon after the start and hindered SCOTT NO FUNDING for a couple of strides. ROYAL PARDON made contact with the hind quarters of BOTANY ANGELA causing that runner to lose ground on the first corner. HARMONY BAXTER and ROYAL PARDON bumped together on the bend and ROYAL PARDON shifted in colliding with RONS SECRET and ROYAL PARDON was severely checked losing several lengths and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 10	NZRS Ht3 - NZRSq - 520 Heat 3	THRILLING RANSOM began awkwardly and was near last with a circuit to run but then secured a clear run through to win well. MR METICULOUS and HOMEBUSH WARRIOR bumped together on the first corner and both lost ground. HOMEBUSH WARRIOR was again checked entering the back straight losing three lengths and he stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 11	Broad Roofing Services C3 - C3 - 305	The start was delayed by two minutes at the request of the T.A.B DOING THE TIME and BABY FALOU were tightly placed on the inside at the first corner and they went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish. SEDGEBROOK LEE and MISTER WHISKER bumped together on three occasions on the bend and into the home straight and as a result they lost some momentum.
Race 12	Gary Ross Decorator C2 - C2 - 305	LEVERAGE was a late scratching when found to have a stopper abrasion when being prepared to race. MISS GIGI checked off the heels of FLAG WAVER on the first corner and shifted out causing severe checks to HOMEBUSH KELLY, PARRA SPARRA and TURF MOOR and they lost all chance and finished in the last three places
