Judicial report: B.Johnston the Trainer of NIGEL THE LEGIN was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when he presented the dog 1.8 kilograms up from its weight at its previous start.

Race 1	AWAPUNI STAKES C0 - C0 - 457	PEZULA BOY and MISS RILEY ROSE were slow to begin losing three lengths. JUST MAC shared the lead on the first corner but was galloped on by KANGO KLINK and soon after by OCTANE ROYALE and he lost several lengths. Also affected and losing ground in the incidents were OCTANE ROYALE and PEZULA BOY and they never recovered and finished in the last three places.
Race 2	GEON WELLINGTON C1 - C1 - 375	CHELSEA'S BEAUTY jumped in and checked CAWBOURNE TINA and she was checked again on the first corner when JUST TOM shifted in. SHADES was slow to begin losing three lengths. The favourite WONDER WORKING went to a good lead soon after the start but began to lose ground approaching the home turn and finished in 4th place but her galloping action did not appear correct and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a tensor fascia lata muscle injury.
Race 3	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS C1 - C1 - 457	NIGEL THE LEGIN was slow to begin losing four lengths and SHARKIE'S DREAM was also slow away losing seven lengths when she went up with the box lids and they finished in the rear group. The favourite THRILLING BOLT who finished in 2nd place was held up behind the eventual winner LOTTO BIFF for a couple of strides on the home turn.
Race 4	FOXTON DASH C1 - C1 - 375	CRASH GYBE and TIZA FEVER were slow to begin losing four lengths and they finished in the 2nd half if the field. OH LORDY was hindered and lost ground on the first corner as INIGO JONES shifted in across her running line. CRASH GYBE suffered a dislocated toe and was stood down for 21 days.
Race 5	CLOVERLEA STAKES C1/2 - C1/2 - 457	One of the favourites CAUGHT THE EYE raced reasonably handy and then bumped slightly with JUSTIFY A SITE on the bend and drifted out to finish in last place. CAUGHT THE EYE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with bruising to a carpus and metatarsus.
Race 6	MANAWATU RACEWAY DASH C2 - C2 - 375	HOMEBUSH WIGGLE and BOUND BY PRIDE raced in mid field to the first corner but were then checked back to the rear. BOUND BY PRIDE then made up ground to finish in 5th place while HOMEBUSH WIGGLE stayed back to finish in 2nd last place and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a dew claw injury.
Race 7	SHANNON SPRINT C3 - C3 - 375	THRILLING LEWIS checked off the heels of ROMBERG LASS going into the bend when ROMBERG LASS shifted out slightly and they both lost ground.
Race 8	WWW.RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	I'M READY was slow to begin losing two lengths but he recovered to make up ground well and win the race. BARKHAMSTED and JUST DEFY THAT were checked back to the rear going to the first corner when RYBENBROOK FLASH shifted in onto their line of running. JUST DEFY THAT then raced very wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground and finished in last place with BARKHAMSTED just ahead in 7th place.
Race 9	TURAKINA DASH C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	CRYSTAL KATIE was al ilittle slow to begin but made up ground to finish in 2nd place. SCAMPER CLAIR was checked losing two lengths on the first corner. THRILLING GRIT faltered on the first corner and drifted out to finish a long last and he was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a tensor fascia lata muscle tear.
Race 10	WOODVILLE DASH C5 - C5 - 375	CAWBOURNE WHIZZ was a little slow to begin and he then raced onto the heels of LITTLE BLACKSPOT when that runner drifted back on the bend with both dogs losing ground. LITTLE BLACKSPOT then checked over the heels of SEMENYA in the approach to the home straight and ran wide and finished in last place. ADDIS SUNSET and SEMENYA bumped together in the run to the first corner and both lost ground.
Race 11	AWAPUNI DASH C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	FLASH ENFORCER checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH DIGBY near the first corner and then checked off heels of LAW'S HILL on the bend and lost ground on both occasions and finished in last place.
Race 12	HOKOWHITU STAKES C3 - C3 - 457	CAWBOURNE DUDE was slow to begin but was quickly into stride and was in 3rd place on the first corner and finished in that position.
