Race 1 | Battle of the Sexes Heat 1 - R/Aq - 318 Heat 1 | Favourite MOODY MAN was last to jump. He made ground well for third. REGAL TENT ran inwards soon after the jump checking SWITCH FORWARD and TWENTY SIXTY. TWENTY SIXTY as a result contacted TRIPLE TEE and MAGICATE on his inside with these runners losing ground. |
Race 2 | www.agrc.com Sprint - C0 - 318 | WHO'S ALICE and TUI'S PLEASE were last to jump. TUI'S PLEASE recovered to be handy along the inside on the bend and finished well to win. The favourite PRIMED TO DASH was tightened for room into the bend and checked outwards into the line of STILL NO WIVES who lost momentum. PRIMED TO DASH then ran wide into the home straight and made ground for fifth. |
Race 3 | Battle of the Sexes Heat 2 - R/Aq - 318 Heat 2 | CHEVERTON and MY JACK ATTACK were the last to jump. ROLLED OATS crossed quickly from his outside draw causing some tightening to ASSEGAI, CATCH A PUNTA and PUNK DINO on his inner. CONFISCATED was also contacted in this incident and ducked inwards checking CHEVERTON who lost ground as a result. |
Race 4 | Reel-Fishin.com Stakes - C0 - 527 | SAND QUEEN ran outwards at the jump checking SAND BUSTER who lost ground. The well supported HARAJUKU GIRL came together with KILARA'S FANCY into the first bend and was then checked from behind by SAND BUSTER losing ground. HARAJUKU GIRL dropped away in the back straight finishing at the rear with a post race veterinary check revealing a hip support muscle tear with a fourteen day stand down recommended. |

Race 6 | Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint - C2 - 318 | FRIZZLE FRAZZLE, GOLD FOR THYS and BOLSTAD all came together along the inside in the run down the back straight and lost ground. Trainer Andrew Taylor was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner THRILLING PIPPI. He stated that after her last run some five weeks ago a wrist injury was diagnosed. This injury has since been treated and the dog had been working well of late. |
Race 7 | $25,000 Pick6 Sprint - C1 - 318 | PAMPEST was last to jump but made ground well for third. Into the bend JETSUN JULES ran inwards tightening RHODA HOLMES and the favourite THRILLING RAY on her inside. Both of these runners were dragged down with THRILLING RAY losing his chance and RHODA HOLMES falling. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on these two runners. RHODA HOLMES was found to have bruising and grazes with a seven day stand down recommended. THRILLING RAY was found to have a hock strain with a ten day stand down recommended. |
Race 8 | Carols TABS Stakes - C2 - 527 | BUTTONY BOY was last to jump. KEE ran inwards into the first bend tightening MISS JETSUN, SURFING AL and ASCENDING FORCE. On the bend JETSUN BELLE checked outwards severely checking her sister MISS JETSUN who lost her chance. COOL ROYALE also received a check in this incident. Soon after KEE dropped right out with a post race veterinary check revealing a torn long head triceps muscle with a twenty eight day stand down recommended. |
Race 9 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Stakes - C1 - 527 | PARNELL MIST was last to jump. BIG LASS was tightened along the inside on the first bend and checked outwards losing ground. SIPPIN TEQUILA crossed in front of PARNELL MIST soon after with PARNELL MIST losing a length. On the entrance to the back straight BIG LASS checked off the back of GIRL CHARM and lost ground. |
Race 10 | Sels TAB Mangere Sprint - C5 - 318 | BAD STATE and PRIVATE PEDRO were the last to leave the traps. BENGINEER ran wide on the home bend losing ground but finished well for third. |
Race 11 | Magness Benrow Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | OSTI'S RUBY came together with WIZARD APPEAL for a stride soon after the jump. Into the first bend THRILLING TALE improved into a gap and pushed EMBLAZING outwards on to PRINCESS SHILOH with these two runners losing ground. Soon after OSTI'S RUBY checked off FANCY STEP for a stride. |
Race 12 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C4 - 318 | ART DECO ran inwards from his outside draw and with MATILDA'S BEST trying to get away from the inside this caused tightening to most of the field with CAPTAIN CARLOS, GO TO CROW and BEAR CUB being the worst affected in a roughly run first part of the race. |
