Track: Good The scales were fixed after last weeks breakdown with a fresh certiificate of correctness being issued.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer S.P.Clark admitted a breach of Rule 43.7 in relation to an ineligible nomination of CORE POWER in Race 8 at the Auckland GRC on 15 May 2011. Under the Minor Infringements Table he was fined $100.00.

Race 1 John Lamont Bobcat Hire Services Sprint - C2 - 375 WINSOME JOLIE was tightened and checkied into the bend losing ground as GOLD FOR THYS attempted to cross from her outside. Trainer Ron O'Regan explained the improved performance of the winner WINSOME DELTA by the fact of a downgrade and the return to her favourite track of Cambridge.
Race 2 Matangi Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375 HARAJUKU GIRL was tightened into the bend and lost ground. On the home turn SAND BUSTER got on the back of TUIS PLEASE and checked outwards sharply being dragged down by STILL NO WIVES who lost ground together with HARAJUKU GIRL with these four runners losing their chances. A post race veterinary check of SAND BUSTER revealed no injury.
Race 3 Innovative Homes Sprint - C1 - 375 Favourite THRILLING HALO was last to jump but ran on late for third. THRILLING RAY crossed the field into the bend with RHODA HOLMES being badly checked on his inside. IBHANSI, JELLYSTONE PARK and HIT DA NOS were all shuffled back along the inside at this point losing ground.
Race 4 Leamington Distance - C2d - 650 THRILLING SIREN was tightened soon after the jump and dropped to the rear. On the first bend EMBLAZING and THRILLING REIGN came together and lost ground.
Race 5 Phil Heemskerk Memorial Sprint - C3 - 375 HONOUR came together with LACHLAN VALLEY at the jump and settled last. LACHLAN VALLEY ran out of room and got on the heels of runners into the bend losing ground and running wide with REGAL TENT and HONOUR losing their chances in this incident. A post race veterinary check of LACHLAN VALLEY revealed no injury. When questioned in regards to the improved effort of the winner OLLIE FONZ Trainer Steve Clark stated that the reverting back to sprinting and dropping back from Restricted Age racing were factors that were in his favour.
Race 6 YGOT Bonus Scheme Stakes - C2 - 457 SPECIAL PROJECT and BUTTONY BOY were the last to jump. THRILLING PUNCH ran inwards and came together with MR. CHINO into the bend with BUTTONY BOY suffering a bad check in behind and losing ground. BUTTONY BOY also the checked off GLORIANNA soon after when attempting to improve losing momentum.
Race 7 0800 4 Down Cow Sprint - C4 - 375 Favourite EMMA'S HEART and COOL GALAXY came together in the early stages with COOL GALAXY dropping out to last. A post race veterinary check of COOL GALAXY revealed no injury. EMMA'S HEART was then badly held up behind runners into the bend and lost momentum. On the bend ROADMANS SHACK was badly tightened and ran outwards checking CAWBOURNE STARS and WILD FLYNN who were forced wide losing ground. EMMAS HEART received another check at this stage.
Race 8 White and Moreland LTD Stakes - C1 - 457 BINGO STARR ran wide around the bend forcing THRILLING APRIL wider as she attempted to improve.
Race 9 Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Stakes - C4/5 - 457 PRINCESS SHILOH ran outwards in the back straight with the favourite HAILEYS AGENT contacting this runner and dropping out to the rear. HAILEYS AGENT remained last thereafter with a post race veterinary check revealing lameness in his left fore leg with a seven day stand down recommended.
Race 10 Kirstie McGrail @ Harcourts Sprint - C5 - 375 PRESSURE POINT was checked into the bend and dropped to the rear.
Race 11 Vehicle Services LTD Stakes - C1 - 457 ALL IN ONE ran inwards and SEEING EXCUSES ran outwards at the jump resulting in JUBILEE LINE and HAIR HE IS both being tightened with JUBILEE LINE losing about five lengths and dropping to the rear.
Race 12 Interislander Stakes - C3 - 457 CORNELIUS was last to jump. He was then forced wide around the home turn before making ground well for third. Favourite YAMBLA BOB and STRIKE ONCE came together for a stride in the back straight with YAMBLA BOB then being tightened along the inside into the bend and losing ground.
