| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour Co Ht1 - C0q - 305 Heat 1 | The favourite HOMEBUSH HELEN shifted in on the first corner and collided with WAIRERE MIRACLE and they jostled for several strides and went back to the rear and stayed there to finish in the last two places. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 520 | JUST MAC shifted in with just over a circuit to run and checked UPAHUT CINDY, HOMEBUSH ALEX and NELLY FLAHERTY who all lost ground. JUST MAC was slightly unbalanced in the incident and went back and was struck from behind by BIT OR SOME who then shifted out causing checks to NELLY FLAHERTY and ANOTHER STAR who were pushed wide going into the first bend. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C0 Ht2 - C0q - 305 Heat 2 | HOMEBUSH JEM jumped in at the start and collided with SAFFRON FLAHERTY and soon after GIRLY DREAMZ shifted out and caused bumping to SAFFRON FLAHERTY and HOMEBUSH JEM and they lost ground and continued to make contact going into the bend and finished in the rear group |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305 | FAWN ALLEGRO, HOMEBUSH BAZIL and MOONSHINE LASS bumped together for a couple of strides soon after the start and lost ground. MOONSHINE LASS went off stride going to the first corner and shifted in causing checks to itself and also FAWN ALLEGRO and CRYSTAL BANNER and MOOSHINE LASS drifted back and finished several lengths last. She was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a serious hock injury. The winner WONDER WORKING led by a good margin going into the bend but appeared to be off stride and lost ground but held on to win. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury apart from a slight nick on a fore foot which in the opinion of the Vet could have contributed to the dogs performance in the run around the bend. |
| Race 5 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 520 | WHOS YA DUFFER was slow to begin as is usual for the dog but then continued to lose ground throughout the race and finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with sesamoid pain and cuts and grazing to a thigh. LOTTO FUN shifted out slightly with a circuit to run and checked OKUKU STAR who lost a couple of lengths. LOTTO FUN disputed the lead with SMASH BANG on the first bend but then eased for some distance and went back through the field to last and then made up some ground to finish 6th . She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury and was charged under Rule 80.1 b with failing to pursue the lure throughout the race. The kennel representative Mrs B.Duganzich viewed the D.V.D replay of the race and elected to admit that LOTTO FUN had breached the rule and the dog was stood down for 28 days and is required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing. |
| Race 6 | Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305 | SINGLE SCULLER shifted out in the back straight and checked over the heels of VITA GIRL and lost three lengths. SOPHISTICATED shifted in on the first corner and checked CRYSTAL SAL who went down behind and was classed as a faller and also checked in the incident were VITA GIRL and CRASH GYBE who both lost four lengths. CRYSTAL SAL was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
| Race 7 | Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH CINDY shifted in going to the first corner and caused checks to itself and also GINA MAC, HOMEBUSH JONAH and JOLOKIA and they all lost ground and finished in the last four places |
| Race 8 | Media Works C1 - C1 - 520 | REGAL DANCER shifted in at the start and checked LOTTO PROFIT and SECRET TRACEY who both lost ground. SECRET TRACEY then drifted back to race several lengths behind the field and over the last half of the race was joined by SECRET CHLOE and they finished several lengths behind the 3rd last dog. It was observed that both dogs recent form has been poor. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | HAYLEYS WISH was slow to begin and she stayed back throughout to finish in 2nd last place. One of the favourites SOUTHERN EIGHTY raced well back in the field and finished in last place. SOUTHERN EIGHTY did not appear to be striding out correctly and he was examined by the Vet and stood down for fourteen days with wrist and shoulder pain and spike wounds. |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete And Paving C1 - C1 - 520 | JIMMY HAKA was slow to begin and settled at the rear and he then checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH DIP on the first corner losing further ground and stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 11 | Wanganui Security Services C2 - C2 - 305 | LEVERAGE checked and lost ground on the first corner when racing onto the heels of BOTANY FREDA. ROTKARA LUCY shifted in on the first corner and was galloped on and dragged down behind by HOMEBUSH SPARKY and was classed as falling. ROTKARA LUCY was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a bicep injury. |
| Race 12 | Gary Ross Decorator C2 - C2 - 305 | LANSVALE SPARK was the slowest to begin from box 8 and was then forced very wide into the bend when THRILLING GRIZZ shifted out and he never recovered and finished in last place. |
