Track: Good The lure failed during race trials prior to Race 1. A broken wire to the lure electrical system was found and repaired by soldering. The Club's Maintenance Officer checked between each race and following Race 4 another break in the electrical wiring was discovered. The Club's electrician was contacted to attend the track, which resulted in the race meeting being put back one race. Repairs were effected prior to the arrival of the electrician with Race 5 being put back one race. Subsequent to failures of the elctrical system at the last meeting on 26 April 2011, the Club had engaged their electrician to rewire and solder every electrical joint on the track. Races 11 and 12 were declared no races due to the lure failing short of the finish line. The area in the back straight where the failure occured had been renewed and soldered by the electrician and staff prior to this meeting. There appeared to be a power surge which caused the failure in Race 11, however the brief loss of power in the Main Stand may have been just a coincidence. The club have been instructed that a clean bill of health on the entire electrical system certified by the club electrician is a requirement prior to the next meeting scheduled for 31 May 2011.

Race 1	ADDED ENERGY WELCOME - C0 - 457	EMILY crossed down to the rail soon after the jump checking PHARLEY. Into the bend HOMEBUSH HELEN moved down to the rail into the path of BLACK OZARK who struck the heels of HOMEBUSH HELEN with both sustaining bad checks.
Race 2	BRENDON BURKE @ SOUTHERNWIDE - C1 - 390	FEARSOME McKAY ran in on jumping colliding with GENISTA OUTLAW who was forced onto ROYAL RODNEY who lost ground.
Race 3	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390	MR.FONTERRA was slow to jump and when improving into the bend tightened YAPSTER JEWEL, CHASIN CROWS and PEGSON FIRE on his inner. THRILLING PEACH and THRILLING CYBIL came together into the bend when near the rear.
Race 4	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C2/3 - 457	GOSS SAGE jumped awkwardly from the boxes losing all chance. Into the bend GEORGIE LEE ran down to the rail tightening TORQUED UP with both losing ground and hampering LILETTE BALE and an improving GOSS SAGE. TORQUED UP ran on in the home straight.
Race 5	100% SELECTRIX - C2 - 390	The program was put back one race due to a fault in the lure electrical system. THUNDA THIGHS and SHEZA COOL ONE drifted to the rear after the jump. WILLY'S PRIDE was tightened for a stride or two into the bend by ALICANTE.
Race 6	$26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 390	HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN, FOGGY STORM and MR.MEADE came together after the jump. Into the bend BLACK TRIGGER ran in on LADY PARKA who was tightened as a result before checking outwards.
Race 7	WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C1 - 457	HONKING HORNS, SPIRAL EBONY, SPIRIT OF GRACE and RED TIGER were slow to jump. An improving HONKING HORNS was tightened by JET SPARK into the bend stumbling for a few strides as a result.
Race 8	$25 YARD MUZZLE STAKES - C2/3 - 390	LA PYTHON and FAST TEDDY were slow to jump. Into the bend REAL CLEVER ran down in front of VAMPIRES SHADOW who checked outwards as a result before running wide into the home straight.
Race 9	COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C2 - 390	Around the bend TOWER moved outwards to come in contact with STARBURST SUZIE who was checked coming back on HOMEBUSH SPARKY who also lost ground.
Race 10	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C5 - 390	BENJI LAFOURCHE lost all chance when losing her footing on jumping from the boxes.
Race 11	SGRC BOUNCE B POWDER - C3/4 - 457	LIFE WITH DEXTER was tightened by CYNTHIA BAXTER soon after the jump. Just short of the finish line the lure lost power with the dogs catching it. Stewards declared the race to be aq no race in accordance with Rule 76.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C4 - 390	REDLINE CHAOS and KNOX came together into the bend losing ground. The lure again failed in the same position as the previous race and it also was declared a no race in accordance with Rule 76.1.
