Race 1 | Forbury Maiden Sprint - SPECA - 310 | BELFAST CHUKKA came up with the lids losing ground. HOMEBUSH ROSEBUD ran in after jumping checking HOMEBUSH BERNIE and RISING MERCURY. Into the bend OPAWA BLACK pushed away from the rail checking HOMEBUSH ROSEBUD who came back on HOMEBUSH JEM. HOMEBUSH SARINA hit the rail twice around the bend and was the subject of a veterinary check which revealed no injury. Into the straight HOMEBUSH BERNIE and RISING MERCURY came together when racing at the rear. |
Race 2 | St Kilda Vet Sprint - C1 - 310 | MERMAN JEWEL was badly checked soon after the jump when tightened between CULVIE CORGI and HOMEBUSH KALAMA. In the run to the bend HOMEBUSH KALAMA ran inwards colliding with CULVIE CORGI who was forced down onto SHARKIE'S SPEED. Around the bend PEGSON FIRE checked out off the heels of BLACK TRIGGER colliding with CULVIE CORGI who was forced out onto HOMEBUSH KALAMA. |
Race 3 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 545 | OLD OZARK, SHADOW WOLF and MISS OZARK came together soon after the jump, with OLD OZARK running very wide around the first first bend, easing across the crossing before running very wide in the home straight. Into the first bend FIXER McKAY stumbled free of interference drifting through the field to finish at the rear. Both OLD OZARK and FIXER McKAY were subject to veterinary checks which revealed nothing amiss with FIXER McKAY. OLD OZARK was found to have a sore left triceps muscle with a 14 day stand down recommended. As this was not a serious injury Stewards deemed OLD OZARK to have failed to pursue the lure in terms of Rule 80.1.b and he was stood down for a period of 28 days and ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial. |
Race 4 | Herbert Family Sprint - C1 - 310 | BOMBAY TRAM was slow to jump. THRILLING PEACH drifted to the rear after jumping before running inwards into the bend to collide with the rail. Into the bend GENISTA OUTLAW moved outwards onto YAPSTER JEWEL and RULEBOOK RAY, resulting in NIGEL'S DRIVING checking out off RULEBOOK RAY'S hindquarters. THRILLING PEACH was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury. |
Race 5 | Herbert Family Stakes - C1 - 545 | WHY WHY DELILAH was checked when tightened between dogs soon after the jump. WAFFLER ran down towards the rail into the first bend tightening JET SPARK, INGA THE WINGA and HOMEBUSH FRASER who came back on DRUMS who in turn moved inwards colliding with WOOF INGILLTAB, both losing ground. |
Race 6 | Happy Birthday Murray Hill Sprint - C2 - 310 | JOHNNIE GEORGE was slow to jump. Into the bend GENISTA LIGHTENING moved down towards the rail forcing KNOW WONDER into the racing line of JOHNNIE GEORGE who struck the hindquarters of KNOW WONDER with both coming back and checking SHEZA COOL ONE and WHITE PHOSPHORUS. KNOW WONDER was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. |
Race 7 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Stakes - C2/3 - 545 | OCTANE AL ran in after jumping colliding with REAL SLIM SHADY. SLIGHTLY AMAZING ran wide into the first bend taking REAL SLIM SHADY with her. REAL SLIM SHADY was vetted and found to have a sore right wrist with a 14 day stand down recommended. |
Race 8 | Green Island Barber Sprint - C1 - 310 | COOL'S THE TUNE tightened RED TIGER soon after the jump. LADY PARKA collided with the running rail into the bend. CAWBOURNE MOFF was checked into the bend as MEANDER crossed down to the rail to lead. Around the bend MOREPORT SHANNON was checked when tightened between CAWBOURNE MOFF and GENISTA GARDENS. LADY PARKA was vetted and found free of injury. MOREPORT SHANNON was found to have a fracture of his left hind 4th toe with a 28 day stand down recommended. |
Race 9 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C2/3 - 310 | SPEEDY LEESHELLE ran in sharply on jumping to collide with VAMPIRES SHADOW. SWIP TASTIC ran inwards into the bend colliding with EL KILDA losing ground as a result and forcing SPEEDY LEESHELLE wide. |
Race 10 | A F Johnston Electrical Ltd Dunedin Cup - C5f - 545 | GUTTER BLACK ran out after the jump colliding with ROCK CAKES. Around the first bend MOST HAUNTED ran out forcing AWESOME BENDER wide around the first bend. |
Race 11 | Speedprint Shop Dash - C5 - 310 | WATERHOUSE and NOBLE ENFORCER were slow to jump. Into the bend BONUS BOND ran outwards as NOBLE ENFORCER improved through the field resulting in WATERHOUSE and LIAM BALE being checked. Around the bend NOBLE ENFORCER collided with the hindquarters of STARBURST STUMPY when endeavouring to improve along the rail with both dogs being checked. |
Race 12 | Racing Again 17 May Sprint - C4 - 310 | Into the bend LIFE WITH DEXTER and MUSTARD FUDGE came together both losing ground. |
