He was examined by the Vet as a precaution as his galloping action appeared suspect and he was cleared of injury. |

| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C3 - C3 - 305 | One of the better supported runners MAGIC TEMPTRESS began very awkwardly losing several lengths and she tailed the field throughout and finished in last place. STILL NO TRACK checked off the back of MISTER WHISKER on the bend losing four lengths and all chance of a dividend placing. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 | HARMONY BAXTER shifted in on the first corner and checked OPAWA MEGASTAR who dropped back onto MR SIMPLY and HOMEBUSH JAG with all three losing ground. HOMEBUSH JAG drifted further behind after the incident to finish five lengths last and he was examined by the Vet as he appeared slightly lame following the race and was stood down for 21 days with injuries to a carpus and stopper bone. ( recurrence of an old injury ) |

| Race 6 | Wanganui Distance Heats (Group 2) - C2dq - 755 Heat 1 | GLORIANNA and ASK PLEASE jostled together for several strides near the first corner and both lost ground with GLORIANNA being the most affected and she lost four lengths. THRILLING REIGN and HOMEBUSH MELL were also affected in the incident and were forced to race wide over extra ground on the first bend. |
| Race 7 | Mickey's super Liquor C5 Ht1 - C5q - 305 Heat 1 | OPAWA MISSY was checked and lost ground soon after the start. MOLLY DARLING drew box 1 and she shifted out on the first corner and caused checks to CAWBOURNE JOSE, ASHBY ELLY, OPAWA MISSY and RON'S SECRET who all lost varying amounts of ground and all chance of a first three placing. OPAWA MISSY suffered from spike wounds and a ruptured toe ligament and was stood down for 21 days. |

ROTKARA MOMENTS shifted in on the first corner and checked CRYSTAL KATIE who went back onto HOMEBUSH DUSTY and both lost ground. HOMEBUSH DUSTY was checked again on the home turn and she finished in last place. |
