Track: Good The track was in excellent condition given the inclement weather this week.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Handler Glen Quirk was charged under Rule 64.2 in that he scratched THRILLING NEWS at the boxes before Race 2 without a valid reason. He denied the charge with a JCA hearing date to be set.

Race 1	SL Computing Services Sprint - C2 - 375	WINSOME SKY was very slow to jump. THRILLING TUNE and PRIDE OF SOUTH both stumbled soon after the jump settling at the rear. THRILLING TUNE faltered into the bend and dropped right out with a post race veterinary check revealing a torn right triceps muscle with a twenty eight day stand down recommended.
Race 2	Cambridge Maiden Series Final - C0f - 375	NATHAN'S CHAMP checked off heels into the bend and lost ground. On the home bend ZULU ran outwards and marred the running of ASK SIX. Trainer W Steele admitted the breach after watching replays of the race with ZULU being stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1.a and having to complete a satisfactory trial.
Race 3	YGOT Bonus Scheme Sprint - C1 - 375	BIT OF VISION was the last to jump. SO DEEP was checked into the first bend and lost some momentum.
Race 4	Greyhounds North Maiden Distance Series Final - C0df - 650	BINGO STARR ran very wide in the back straight losing ground.
Race 5	0800 4Down Cow Stakes - C0 - 457	HIT DA NOS and AKKADIAN were the last to jump. AKKADIAN then came together with MOODY TUNES and lost more ground in the back straight.
Race 6	Club House Sports Bar Series Heat 1 - C1q - 457 Heat 1	BUTTONY BOY was very slow to jump but made ground well on the turn and ran away for an impressive win.
Race 7	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C4 - 375	CAWBOURNE MADZ ran wide on the turn and lost ground. ASSEGAI was the last away and then held up on the home turn. He ran on well for second when in the clear.
Race 8	Te Awamutu Self Storage Sprint - C3 - 375	The field went to the bend in a line with the inevitable tightening affecting VIBURNUM and SPRING TYDE who dropped to the rear. SPRING TYDE almost fell in the incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 9	Club House Sports Bar Series Heat 2 - C1q - 457 Heat 2	SAMBO WARRIOR and SURFING AL were the last to jump. Into the bend the favourite THRILLING SPY was crossed by SURFING AL and then dragged down for a stride by SAMBO WARRIOR with THRILLING SPY losing ground. He ran on fairly for fifth.
Race 10	Club House Sports Bar Series Heat 3 - C1q - 457 Heat 3	THRILLING HONEY and CAFE CHIC came together soon after the jump. Into the bend ALL IN ONE received a slight check from behind by SPECIAL PROJECT. ALL IN ONE the ran wide around the bend pushing SPECIAL PROJECT wider. HOLLALICIOUS which had run to the inside on the bend then ran outwards tightening ALL IN ONE and SPECIAL PROJECT for a few strides.
Race 11	Protector Safety Sprint - C1 - 375	The favourite CAPTAIN COUTTS was very slow away making up a stack of ground for fifth. This dog took a nasty tumble at the lure with a post race veterinary check revealing a hurt shoulder with possible dislocation and a twenty eight day stand down was recommended. FIJIAN SAM was badly tightened along the inside into the bend and was relegated to the rear. ON MY MIND was found to have cut webbing with a fourteen day stand down recommended.
Race 12	Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Stake - C2/3 - 457	YAMBLA BOB received a slight check in the back straight and lost some momentum.
