LOTTO BIFF shifted out and SHEZA RATBAG shifted in racing to the first corner and this resulted in checks to CRYSTAL BANNER and CAUGHT THE EYE who both lost ground. |
| Race 6 | Manawatu Raceway Sprint C2/3 - C2/3 - 375 | WITCHILICIOUS was slow to begin losing three lengths but recovered well to finish in 3rd place. The favourite TIGER HOODS led from the start but ran wide into the bend taking MAGIC TEMPTRESS very wide but she recovered to finish well and win the race. TIGER HOODS continued to run wide and finished in 7th place and because his galloping action was not correct, he was examined by the Vet and stood down for 35 days with a gracilus muscle injury. FLOATING AWAY was checked and fell on the first corner and she was also examined by the vet and stood down for 28 days with pectoral and tricep muscle injuries TURF MOOR was also checked and lost ground in the incident. |
| Race 7 | www.racingdogs.co.nz C2/3 - C2/3 - 375 | GROOVY BANDIT and BOMBER MAN were checked on the first corner and they lost four lengths and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Riverdale Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457 | OLYMPIC ACE began well and was in 2nd place going towards the first corner but then drifted back to race three lengths behind the 2nd last dog on the bend. He did make up a little ground to finish in 6th place but was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a quadricep injury. CAWBOURNE DUDE raced handy and was in 2nd place in the home straight but tired and when dropping back was checked and finished in last place. |
| Race 9 | Hokowhitu Dash C1 - C1 - 375 | THRILLING IRIS was handy enough on the first corner but then drifted out and finished several lengths last and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a pectoral muscle injury. |
| Race 10 | Turakina Dash C4 - C4 - 375 | CIAO FOR NOW shifted in from the start and checked FLASH ENFORCER and LOW AND HIGHS and they settled in the last three places. CIAO FOR NOW recovered best of the three to make up ground for 3rd placing. |
