Judicial report: Trainer N.P.Green was fined $100.00 (Minor Infringements Table) after he admitted a breach of Rule 69.11 when QUIET JOURNEY weighed in at 34.5 kgs which was 1.6 kgs under his last race weight on 27 March 2011. Before admitting the charge Mr Green requested that the scales be checked under Rule 69.7 and this was completed with the scales being confirmed as weighing correctly.

Race 1 | Bethells Farmstay for dogs on Facebook - C4 - 318 | Favourite GO TO CROW and VALIDICTION were the last to jump. GO TO CROW made up ground well to run second. FANCY SPIDER was tightened in the early stages and then VALIDICTION and FANCY SPIDER came together and lost ground in the back straight when well back. On the home turn THRILLING PETRA received a slight check and lost ground as MISS ARKANSAS improved around her outside. |
Race 2 | www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C0 - 318 | LLAMEDOS, SAND QUEEN and the favourite HOLLALICIOUS were the last to jump. BIG LASS ran inwards for a stride at the jump. LLAMEDOS was tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear. HOLLALICIOUS was forced very wide around the home turn when improving and ran on well for fourth. |
Race 3 | Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C3 - 318 | BOLSTAD ran inwards and came together with KAMACO was was angling outwards soon after the jump. These two runners continued to jostle for a few strides until LACHLAN VALLEY then crossed in front of both of these runners and tightened them resulting in BOLSTAD and KAMACO losing ground and settling well back. Following the race LACHLAN VALLEY was found to have spike wounds to his left fore with a seven day stand down recommended. |
Race 4 | Ashford Boarding Kennels and Cattery Sprint - C1 - 318 | Favourite PUNK DINO, TRIPLEM HAND and WINSOME KELLY were the last to leave the traps. PUNK DINO and GOLD FOR THYS came together for a stride in the early stages of the race. |
Race 5 | Sel's TAB Mangere Stakes - C2/3 - 527 | ASCENDING FORCE ducked inwards at the jump for a stride. OSTI'S RUBY checked outwards abruptly into the first bend badly checking ASCENDING FORCE on her outside. ASCENDING FORCE lost ground but recovered well for fourth. |
Race 6 | Protector Safety Sprint - C1 - 318 | DOSSIE was the last to jump. HOMEBUSH TUI, PARADISE CITY and HICCUP all came together soon after the jump. HOTWAX was tightened along the inside into the bend and lost ground dropping out to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
Race 7 | $15,000 Pick6 Sprint - C4/5 - 318 | CAPTAIN HASTINGS was checked wide on the track into the bend and lost ground. |
Race 8 | Magness Benrow Stakes - C1 - 527 | JETSUN JULES began awkwardly. PLASMAH checked outwards off BIGTIME COWELL into the first bend and lost ground. CLASSY FORT ran wide into the back straight and lost its handy position also forcing LOOSE GENIUS over extra ground |
Race 9 | Terry Ryan Timber Sprint - C1/2 - 318 | THRILLING KITE and THRILLING ASIA were both slow to jump and ELLY'S GIRL ducked inwards as the lids opened. AS FAST AS was checked on the home turn when attempting to cross runners and dropped out to the rear. |
Race 10 | Norton Suprise Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | HAILEY'S AGENT was last to jump. THRILLING TALE checked outwards on the first bend and lost a couple of lengths. |
Race 11 | Trophies Plus Sprint - C5 - 318 | PRIVATE PEDRO and COOL IDOL came together in the run down the back straight with COOL IDOL losing ground. PRIVATE PEDRO checked outwards off TALIESIN BLUE on the home turn and lost ground. |
Race 12 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C2 - 318 | CAWBOURNE BEAR was the last to jump. HONOUR, GENTLE ATTACK and CAPTAIN RICHIE came together wide out soon after the jump. MS. TOURNAMENTAL was tightened along the inside into the bend and ran outwards checking CAWBOURNE BEAR with these runners dropping to the rear. PRIDE OF SOUTH and GENTLE ATTACK were checked into the bend as CAPTAIN RICHIE crossed from their outside. When questioned about the improved performance of the winner HONOUR co-trainer Tracy Steele told Stewards that they have only had the dog for short time but she had been working well and they expected a good fresh run. |
