| Race 1 | Manukau Maiden Series Final - C0f - 318 | MY DIANE was dragged down at the end of the back straight and dropped out to tail the field home. At the same time BIG LASS was dragged down by BIG SAM'S GIRL and lost ground. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on both of these runners. BIG LASS was cleared of injury but MY DIANE was found to have a long head triceps tear with a 42 day stand down recommended. Due to a technical malfunction no head on view was available on this event. |
| Race 2 | Goodsey Stakes - C3/4 - 527 | WINSOME BUSTER and ASCENDING FORCE came together on two occasions soon after the jump and lost some momentum. |
| Race 3 | Carols TABS Sprint - C5 - 318 | Favourite COOL IDOL and CORPORAL JONES were the last to jump. Into the bend PUNK SCOOTER ran outwards giving kennelmate PRIVATE PEDRO a bump and coming together with WEE PING DOLL who in turn checked an improving TO THE CREST on her outside. PUNK SCOOTER lost ground in this incident. COOL IDOL took advantage of this wide running by securing a rails run and finishing well for second. |
| Race 4 | www.agrc.co.nz Stakes - C1/2 - 527 | ROYAL AKER was the last to jump. Into the first bend the favourite YAMBLA BOB was badly tightened and then dragged down by TONY CAN'T GO who leapfrogged this runner. Both dogs lost considerable ground with TONY CAN'T GO dropping out to a long last. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on both of these runners. TONY CAN'T GO fractured his right hock in the incident and was euthanised on humane grounds while YAMBLA BOB was free of injury. |
| Race 5 | Magness Benrow Sprint - C4 - 318 | The favourite ASTON RED dropped to the rear soon after the jump but finished well when clear for third. THRILLING ALERT crossed in front of the field into the bend tightening SUB CLASS. REGAL TENT and FANCY SPIDER for a few strides with WILD FLYNN being forced wide around these runners. |
| Race 6 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Series Final - C1f - 318 | In a very tightly compacted field a number of runners received tightening into the bend with UTAR JET, LADY LAHKSMI, BIT OF VISION and AUSTIN WILD being the worst afftected. AUSTIN WILD hit the rail at this point and lost ground. Soon after LADY LAHKSMI was jammed in between UTAR JET and TODD with LADY LAHKSMI and UTAR JET dropping right out as a result. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on UTAR JET, AUSTIN WILD and LADY LAHKSMI. LADY LAHKSMI was found to have a torn left gracilis with a 42 day stand down recommended with the other dogs being cleared of injury. |
| Race 7 | Thornton Auctions Stakes - C1 - 527 | LOOSE GENIUS and the favourite BUTTONY BOY were the slowest to jump. SURFING AL ran inwards at the jump tightening WINSOME JOLIE and LOOSE GENIUS for a few strides. Into the first bend LOOSE GENIUS checked outwards off DECADENT and caused checks to CAWBOURNE SNOWY and an improving BUTTONY BOY. BUTTONY BOY did well to recover for fourth. |
| Race 8 | Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C2/3 - 318 | Favourite GO TO CROW and BOTANY ADAM were the slowest to jump. FAIR MOVIN was tightened by BOLSTAD as he crossed to the lead with VALIDICTION receiving a check and also coming together with an improving GO TO CROW and losing ground. BEAR CUB and DOLLY SCRAMBLE came together on the home turn with DOLLY SCRAMBLE losing some momentum. Following the race BOLSTAD was found to have reopened a wound between pads with a ten day stand down recommended. |
| Race 9 | Misty Anna Classic Qualifying Race - R/A - 527 | JETSUN GENES and ELEPHUNK were the last to jump. CORE POWER checked off BLUE JEAN ALICE on the first bend as the latter dog crossed to the rail in front of her. On the home turn ELEPHUNK ran outwards colliding with an improving favourite HAVE A YAP who lost momentum. |
| Race 10 | Magic Sprite Sprint - C5 - 318 | ONE TOUGH COOKIE and MOTHERLEE were the last to jump. The favourite TRUE INTENTIONS put in a couple of awkward strides into the bend and lost ground and then ran wide into the home straight losing more ground. Handler Ingrid Archer expressed disappointment at the run and stated that the dog would be thoroughly checked before Sunday's engagement. |
| Race 11 | Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint - C1 - 318 | Favourite THRILLING RAY and DOSSIE were the last to jump. GOT THE BEETROOT was tightened into the bend and lost ground while in behind THRILLING RAY and JETSUN BELLE came together for a few strides. GOT THE BEETROOT was then checked from behind on the bend and dropped to the rear. Kennel representative Leigh Hamerton was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner IBHANSI. He told Stewards that the dog had only been in their kennels for a short time and that the new environment may be benefitting the dog. He also thought that the empty box on his inside helped give him room and enabled the dog to jump well tonight. His explanation was noted. |
| Race 12 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C2 - 318 | SOHO PRINCE was the last to jump. WILLEE WINDSOR checked outwards off THRILLING AZTEC into the bend losing ground. THRILLING PIPPI ran very wide on the home turn losing ground before running on for fourth. |
