| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800Labour C0 - C0 - 305 | CLANG AND BANG was slow to begin and settled at the rear. He then checked off the heels of BERN'S BUNNY on the first corner with both dogs losing ground. CLANG AND BANG then recovered well to finish on for 4th placing. NELLY FLARETY checked across the heels of ANITA WIN and BERN'S BUNNY on the home turn with all three dogs losing ground. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 520 | HOMEBUSH DIP ran in from the start and checked ANOTHER STAR and PRINCE PARADE and they lost ground and settled in the last three places. PRINCE PARADE then shifted in on the first corner and made firm contact with the rail and he tailed the field from there to finish in last place. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C1 - C1 - 520 | MUM KNOWS JACK checked over the heels of SOPHISTICATED on the home turn and both dogs lost a little ground. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305 | JOLOKIA ran in from the start and jostled with GOZO DANCER for a couple of strides and they settled at the rear and stayed back to finish in the last two places. PHANTOM FOG shifted in soon after the start and checked URITI STORM who lost ground and settled well back. |
| Race 5 | Couper Catering C1 - C1 - 305 | PINTA GUINNESS and HOMEBUSH SPARKY were handy to the lead on the first corner but collided and PINTA GUINNESS dropped back to last and finished in 2nd last place. HOMEBUSH SPARKY went wide into the bend over extra ground after the incident but he recovered to win the race. |
| Race 6 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 520 | The favourite HOMEBUSH BONITA had a fore foot caught on the bottom lip of the box lids and went up in the air losing four lengths and he then made up ground to finish in 5th place. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. WHO'S YA DUFFER was slow to begin losing five lengths but made up ground until checked losing two lengths when starting on the final bend. GREYWINDS KOBY raced onto the heels of JACK BANNER with a circuit to run and both lost ground. JACK BANNER was again checked entering the back straight losing several lengths and all chance and finished in last place. |
| Race 7 | Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305 | HAYLEY'S WISH was slow to begin and settled at the rear. ALAMEIN FLASH was checked on the first corner when PARRA SPARRA shifted away from the rail and ALAMEIN FLASH went back onto HAYLEY'S WISH and they lost four lengths and finished at the rear. |
| Race 8 | Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305 | HE'S A STUNNER and ONE WILD THING were slow to begin and they stayed well back to finish in the rear group. GROOVY BANDIT began well to lead until rounding the bend where he faltered for a couple of strides and then drifted back to finish in last place. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with tricep and tensor fascia lata muscle injuries. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services C1 - C1 - 305 | ROBUST BOY and SISTER VIRTUE jostled together for several strides in the run to the first corner and they settled well back and finished in the rear group. |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete, Wanganui C1 Final - C1f - 520 | The favourite RYBENBROOK FLICK and IMAGE collided on the first corner losing ground and IMAGE then shifted out and checked HOMEBUSH WILD who was pushed wide into the bend. IMAGE was checked again entering the back straight losing several lengths and she stayed back to finish in last place. RYBENBROOK FLICK recovered from the earlier check and was in 2nd place on the home turn but ran very wide and this possibly cost her the chance of a closer placing than 3rd. |
| Race 11 | Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 305 | BRUTUS FINALE was a late scratching when found to have a cut and bleeding toe wound when being prepared for racing. The kennel which the dog occupied was inspected but no sign of any cause for the injury was found. BRUTUS FINALE was stood down for 3 days with a toe laceration. THRILLING IRIS and PURE FURY were slow to begin losing four lengths. |
| Race 12 | Wanganui Security Services C2 - C2 - 305 | HOMEBUSH TIME was a late scratching when found to have a toe laceration when removed from the kennel to race. Again the kennel was inspected with nothing found which could have caused the injury. However, the dogs muzzle had a sharp piece of wire on it which is suspected to have caused the injury which resulted in a 7 day stand down. The favourite KINGA COOP was one of the slowest to begin and then he and HOMEBUSH NELSON were checked on the first corner losing three lengths and they finished at the rear. |
