Track: Good The new scales which were only recently installed were not reading correctly when tested prior to kennelling and as a result the first 12 dogs to be kennelled had the weight from their previous start recorded. The service man then arrived and rectified the problem and the rest of the runners engaged at the meeting had their weights recorded correctly.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	SHRECKLES ran in from the start and bumped MILLIE SWANSON onto NUTS FOR SURE who both lost ground and settled in the rear group. The eventual winner RYBENBROOK FLICK shifted in on the first corner and checked WAIRERE MIRACLE and SHRECKLES who both lost several lengths and they stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 2	GEON Wellington C1 - C1 - 457	WHO'S YA DUFFER was again slow to begin losing five lengths but made up ground to finish in 4th place.
Race 3	Peter Sinclair Photos C1 - C1 - 375	STATELY BABE jumped in from the start and checked SISTER VIRTUE who lost ground and settled at the rear. YA GUNNA shifted in running to the first corner and dictated the line of LISSADELL TOBY and HE'S A STUNNER with both dogs losing grounds and they stayed back throughout the race.
Race 4	Foxton Dash C1 - C1 - 375	MISS FOLEY was one of the slowest to begin from box 8 but ran on very well to finish in 2nd place. RHODA HOLMES checked over the heels of BLACK DELORIAN on the first corner and they then bumped together a few strides further on with both dogs losing ground. BLACK DELORIAN who had not started for two months then drifted back and finished in last place.
Race 5	Cloverlea Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	JUST DEFY THAT ran in from the start and bumped PRETTY SECRET. KILMAINHAM CHILL was slow to begin losing three lengths but he made up ground well until going into the bend where he was tightened and hindered when racing between SUMMER SPICE and DANCING POWER and lost ground. SUMMER SPICE shifted in on the first corner and checked JUST DEFY THAT who lost four lengths. JUST DEFY THAT shifted out on the home turn and bumped with ASK PLEASE with both dogs losing momentum.
Race 6	Hokowhitu Sprint C1 - C1 - 375	ROBUST BOY was checked losing three lengths on the bend when clearing the heels of PIN UP PUPPY.
Race 7	www.racingdogs.co.nz C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	BOND ECLIPSE, SEDGEBROOK LEE and WHERE'S WALLY were slow to begin losing three lengths. WHERE'S WALLY recovered best of the three to finish well for 3rd place. FLASH ENFORCER was galloped on by SEDGEBROOK LEE on the first corner and went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish
Race 8	Riverdale Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	The favourite BIGTIME GEM began well and led to the first turn but then gradually drifted from there and finished in last place. The kennel representative B.Cole when questioned regarding the run stated that BIGTIME GEM had been dragged down during the running but there was no visual or video evidence to support this. BIGTIME GEM was examined by the Vet and stood down for 3 days with slight tibia bruising.
Race 9	Manawatu Raceway Dash C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	The favourite ULTIMATE SPICE jumped in and collided with HOMEBUSH NELSON losing four lengths. He then raced a little wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished in 6th place. CAWBOURNE DRAG drew box 1 and was awkwardly placed against the rail for several strides racing into the bend and drifted back to eventually finish in 2nd last place.
Race 10	Turakina Dash C5 - C5 - 375	POWERFUL ENEMY checked over the heels of SHE ROCKS on the bend and lost a little ground. A few strides further on CATCH A PUNTA checked off the heels of SHE ROCKS and shifted out sharply causing severe checks to POWERFUL ENEMY and LAW'S HILL who lost ground and finished in the last two places.
Race 11	Shannon Dash C4 - C4 - 375	OPAWA GEM and ERIC PHOENIX collided on the bend with both losing ground and all chance of a first three placing.
Race 12	Woodville Dash C4 - C4 - 375	The favourite KINGA MIKE began awkwardly and settled near the rear. He then checked off the back of BOMBER MAN on the first corner losing further ground and all chance of a dividend placing and finished in 5th place. MAJOR HIT tailed the field throughout and finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a tensor fascia lata muscle injury.
