Weather: Raining
Track: Heavy The scales were tested and certified for a further 12 months on 8 March 2011. The track was very heavy after persistent overnight rain however it improved during the day. The inside of the track still had water laying on the surface around both bends throughout the meeting.
Scales: Correct at 30kgs
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer JE DUNN was charged with a breach of Rule 64.1 relating to his late scratching of NIGEL'S DRIVING, a starter in Race 2 at the Otago GRC meeting on 22 February 2011. He elected to plead guilty to the charge and was fined $150.00 as per the NZGRA Minor Infringment Table.
SORRY VANDERFORD, a starter in Race 12 on today's program was ordered scratched by Stewards under Rule 38.3.l. when not presented to race. The dog had recently changed trainers after nomination for this meeting with further inquiries now required to be undertaken.

Race 1	Otago First4 Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	ANOTHER STAR was slow to jump. HOMEBUSH ZITA ran sharply inwards when leaving the boxes colliding with CLUTTERING who was forced down into OLD OZARK. This movement forced OLD OZARK in the air coming down astride the back of FEARSOME McKAY with both losing all chance. Into the bend OH EMM EYE was crossed by CLUTTERING resulting in a check to CLUTTERING. Both FEARSOME McKAY and OLD OZARK were subject to veterinary checks which revealed nothing amiss with either.
Race 2	Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C0 - 545	TEPIRITA ALI, TEPIRITA CRUZE and MISS OZARK were slow to jump. TEPIRITA CRUZE ran very wide around the first bend taking TEPIRITA ALI with him.
Race 3	Happy 65th Birthday Dave Robbie Sprint - C0 - 310	JIMMY HAKA, BLACK OZARK and SWANNOA SNIPPER were slow to jump. Around the bend MR.KNOWALL and MAN OH MAN came together.
Race 4	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C2 - 545	MICKER MORRIS was slow to jump. OCTANE AL was tightened between NINA'S GIRL and THRILLING BUSTA soon after the jump. Into the first bend an improving MICKER MORRIS came in contact with BOTANY GARETH. Soon after MORIARTY,moved outwards onto CASLEY and BOTANY GARETH resulting in BOTANY GARETH colliding with MICKER MORRIS, these two being badly checked.
Race 5	St Kilda Vet Stakes - C4/5 - 545	TIJAN ran outwards in the run to the first bend tightening SPEED TICKET. TIJAN continued her outward movement into the first bend striking the hindquarters of WINSOME BUCKS before checking out to collide with CROSSFIRE MAX. Immediately after GENERAL BOWIE moved outwards colliding with WINSOME BUCKS. Into the back straight GENERAL BOWIE moved back down towards the rail tightening WINSOME BUCKS who checked out off heels before colliding with SPEED TICKET.
Race 6	Speedprint Shop Sprint - C1 - 310	TOKEN RAGE and PETROL VOUCHER came together into the bend. Into the home straight PETROL VOUCHER moved away from the rail colliding with the hindquarters of TOKEN RAGE when both were racing at the rear of the field.
Race 7	Happy Anniversary John Cee Sprint - C2 - 310	SOMETIMES ALAN ran in sharply when jumping colliding with OHOKA DUKE. Into the bend GENISTA LIGHTENING and OHOKA DUKE were checked as a result of general tightening.
Race 8	CSL Containers Stakes - C1 - 545	SEISMIC STORM was slow to jump. Into the first bend DUCHESS MAKAYLA moved outwards checking KNOW BEST and SEISMIC STORM.
Race 9	Herbert Family Sprint - C5 - 310	TEPIRITA TIKA was slow to jump. Into the bend PRETTY GOOD ran out forcing KNOW PROOF and LIAM BALE wide on the track. Around the bend CAWBOURNE SHOT moved off the rail tightening TEPIRITA TIKI who fell before recovering to finish the race. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss.
Race 10	Presidents Sprint - C4 - 310	LES BAXTER was slow to jump. In the run to the bend OLD MATE DAVE ran out checking NIDDY NID. Into the bend EL KILDA moved outwards with MISS BRUGGE being tightened.
Race 11	Herbert Family Stakes - C2/3 - 545	WEARY TRAVELLER and WHAT A MATE were slow to jump. WAVE YA HAND ran outwards after the jump colliding with WHAT A MATE and continued to run very wide around the first bend.
Race 12	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C5 - 310	SORRY VANDERFORD was declared a late scratching when withdrawn by Stewards under Rules 38.3.l and 64.5 due to the non presentation of the dog for racing. KNOW RIVAL was slow to jump. Into the bend UNO HARRIET ran outwards tightening FREDDIE BAXTER and KNOW RIVAL, these three finishing at the rear.
Race 13	Otago Trotting Owners Association Sprint - C2 - 310	WHERE'S ROBYN and CHEETAH WOODS collided into the bend. Into the home straight GENISTA TORNADO checked out off the heels of LES HART colliding with CHASIN' CROWS who was forced out onto HOMEBUSH TIME.
Race 14	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C4 - 310	REDLINE CHAOS was slow to jump. TUKURUA ZAC ran in sharply after the jump tightening MOJAVE MICK.
Race 15	Green Island Barber Shop Stakes - C4 - 545	HERE EYE AM was very slow to jump and when improving along the rail around the first bend struck the hindquarters of SURFER CHICK before checking outwards and colliding with GUTTER BLACK. SURFER CHICK drifted out to finish last with a veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 16	Life Members Stakes - C1 - 545	JUST TEASING was slow to jump. Into the back straight WITCHALICIOUS checked out off the rear of DISTINCT IMAGE and forced JUST TEASING wide.
Race 17	Bramwell Scaffolding Sprint - C3 - 310	Both POUTAMA RAMA and HOMEBUSH LENNY were slow to jump. Into the bend WANDY HAKA forced an improving HOMEBUSH LENNY down onto the heels of ASTRO DAVE who in turn was forced onto POUTAMA RAMA racing on their inner withh all three sustaining a check.
Race 18	St Kilda Tavern Sprint - C3 - 310	ANOTHER LEGIN was slow from the boxes an when improving into the bend brushed the rail before checking WANDY WANNABE. Soon after NOBLE ENFORCER checked out off the hindquarters of RED VENON colliding with WATTLE YOU BEE and forcing SOFA LOAFA wide on the track.
Race 19	Go the Highlanders Sprint - C1 - 310	GREYWINDS KOBY was last on settling and when improving wide into the bend tightened THATS COOL who checked outwards as a result. GREYWINDS KOBY continued to run inwards checking KNOW TURBO who came back on DUDLEY RAMA and BOTANY TOM.
Race 20	Racing Again 29th March Sprint - C1 - 310	LIAM TITLE was slow to jump. CALINDA and APATCHIE SCOTT came together soon after the jump with HOMEBUSH TEX and PARRA SPARRA tightened. Into the bend CALINDA struck the heels of BETTY BEATZER and did so again into the home straight when racing at the rear.
