| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C0 - C0 - 305 | CLANG AND BANG was slow to begin losing three lengths but he recovered to secure a clear rails run and finished well for 3rd placing. MILLIE SWANSON was bumped on the bend and pushed out onto ANITA WIN and they both lost a little ground. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 520 | TIPLA ran in from the start and collided with HOMEBUSH DIP and almost fell losing two lengths. BAD BOY TIGER was slow to begin and settled at the rear. He then eased up with a circuit to run losing several lengths but then proceeded to race again and finished in 2nd last place. BAD BOY TIGER was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with pain in both triangle muscles. BAD BOY TIGER is also required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1 before next racing. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C0 Final - C0f - 305 | The favourite THUNDA THIGHS was tightened and checked soon after the start and then shifted out and collided with SLATER'S MATE and they settled at the rear. THUNDA THIGHS then ran on well to finish in 3rd place. VITA GIRL made firm contact with the rail on two occasions near the first turn and she then shifted out and made contact with SAINT RIDER with both dogs covering extra ground on the bend. VITA GIRL was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH TAYLOR was handy to the first corner but was checked losing several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. PINTA GUINNESS was also hindered in the incident losing a little ground but ran on for 4th place. |
| Race 5 | Couper Catering C1 - C1 - 305 | IMPERATIVE was checked on the first corner and went back to the rear and never recovered. The favourite CHELSEA'S BEAUTY was one of the slowest to begin and settled near the rear. HOMEBUSH CECIL shifted in on the first corner and checked BINTY FLAHERTY who went back and out and forced CHELSEA'S BEAUTY very wide into the bend and she never recovered and finished in last place. |
| Race 6 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 520 | NIGEL THE LEGIN was slow to begin and he stayed back to finish near the rear. The favourite MR. MUTOLA had difficulty clearing the heels of THRILLING ANNIE in the back straight and into the final bend and he finished in 5th place. |
| Race 7 | Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH HIFI and SISTER VIRTUE both ran in from the start and checked GOZO DANCER and HOMEBUSH KELLY who both lost ground. HOMEBUSH HIFI continued to shift in and jostled with STATELY BABE for a few strides racing to the first corner. RHODA HOLMES, HOMEBUSH KELLY and ROBUST BOY were all checked on the first corner losing three lengths. ROBUST BOY recovered best of the three to finish in 3rd place. |
| Race 8 | Mickeys Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305 | The favourite TIGER HOODS went into the bend with a good lead but ran very wide on the bend and dropped back to 2nd. He then ran on in the home straight to win narrowly. RED RULER was handy on the first corner but was tightened when EZY INFO shifted in and they both lost several lengths. RED RULER then lost further ground when checking off the heels of EZY INFO on the bend and he finished in the rear group. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services C1 - C1 - 305 | CRYSTAL BANNER wanted to race away from the rail in the race to the first corner and when shifting out she caused checks to herself and also GROOVY SHANE and THRILLING SIMONE and they lost several lengths and all chance. |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520 | The favourite EXCUSABLE was slightly tightened soon after the start when CATCH A PENNIE shifted out and she dropped back to last. EXCUSABLE then raced in last place four lengths behind the 2nd last dog but was making up ground approaching the final bend when she was forced to ease to avoid HOMEBUSH BROCK who had dropped back when crowded by BIGTIME COWELL and EXCUSABLE then ran past a beaten runner to finish in 2nd last place. Kennel representative B.Cole was questioned regarding the dogs poor performance and stated that he was satisfied given the circumstances of the race. However, the Stewards were not and ordered a Vet examination of the dog which revealed that EXCUSABLE was suffering from a wrist injury and a 14 day stand down was imposed. |
| Race 11 | OfficeMax C2 - C2 - 305 | SALLY SAY SO was slow to begin losing three lengths. OPTICAL MAN ran very wide over extra ground on the bend and into the straight. |
| Race 12 | Wanganui Security Services C2 - C2 - 305 | CATCH A DREAM was slow to begin and then drifted further behind as the race progressed and she finished a long last. CATCH A DREAM was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury but the Co Trainer advised the Stewards that evening that the dog was very sore and she was rexamined on 11.03.11 and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury |
