Race Number Race Name Incident Report

ALL ABOUT DOSH was tightened into the bend and checked outwards pushing GO TO CROW over extra ground. BARALLEN appeared to clip the heels of GO TO CROW on the home bend and went down on his nose losing many lengths and his chance.
Race 2 www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C0 - 318 Kennelmates WHATA LADY and IMAGINATION were both slow to jump from the inside. MY DIANE ran inwards soon after the jump checking BIG SAM'S GIRL and PUNK DINO on her inside. IMAGINATION ran inwards and clipped the running rail at the end of the back straight and lost ground with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. BIG SAM'S GIRL was tightened on the inside of MY DIANE on the bend and lost ground and was also checked by IMAGINATION on the home turn. The favourite PUNK DINO recovered well from his early check and ran on for second.
Race 3 The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C2 - 318 WORLD CUP MISS was tightened and hit the running rail with some force at the end of the back straight and ran outwards checking CENTRAL SKIP who dropped to the rear. A post race veterinary check of WORLD CUP MISS revealed no injury. The favourite BOY SPICE was only fairly away and when improving on the home bend collided with THRILLING LEE and lost momentum. BOY SPICE made ground well for second.
Race 4 Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint - C5 - 318 TALIESIN BLUE was slow to jump. The favourite TRUE INTENTIONS was checked in between SEELEY BOOTH and KENSO WAY three times in the back straight and failed to run on finishing a fifth. A post race veterinary check of TRUE INTENTIONS revealed no injury. KENSO WAY dropped out to the rear after these checks and never improved.
Race 5 Sels TAB Mangere - C3/4 - 527 The favourite THRILLING SNEAK was tightened to the rear in the early stages. He improved sharply on the home turn and ran on well for second. ASSEGAI was badly tightened between runners on the first bend and checked outwards dropping to the rear where he stayed.
Race 6 Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C1 - 318 ELLY'S GIRL came together with THRILLING KITE soon after the jump. Towards the end of the back straight MS. TOURNAMENTAL angled inwards tightening CAWBOURNE BEAR, NEW MONIA and LOONEY LEE on her inside with NEW MONIA losing ground and dropping to the rear. Into the bend CAWBOURNE BEAR attempted to cross LOONEY LEE with both runners being checked and losing ground.
Race 7 $15,000 Pick6 Stakes - C1/2 - 527 Favourite JOHN DEED was 6th into the first bend but improved steadily along the rail and ran on well for second. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner WINSOME BUSTER kennel representative Ingrid Archer stated that the smaller and easier field helped the dog reach the lead easily today and that the dog is far better when in front. Her explanation was noted.
Race 8 Magness Benrow Sprint - C4 - 318 POSTMAN JIM and PRIVATE PEDRO came together for a stride soon after the jump.
Race 9 MTA Stakes - C1 - 527 SIPPIN TEQUILA was last to jump running on late for fourth. The favourite THRILLING APRIL was tightened soon after the jump settling well back and ran on late for fifth. Kennel spokesperson Mark Smith stated that the dog is better suited when she gains a rails run but on this occasion was unable to get to the inside. He added that he thought the dog stretched out well in the run home when clear. OKAYS BENAYOUN ran inwards into the first bend tightening DECADENT who dropped to the rear.
Race 10 Carols TABS Sprint - C4 - 318 THRILLING ALERT was tightened into the bend and lost ground. When questioned in regards to the winner PUNK SCOOTER'S turnaround in form kennel representative Ingrid Archer reported that the dog had had no luck at all in recent starts and from a better draw was expected to be hard to beat today.
Race 11 Greyhounds North Maiden Distance Series - C0d - 603 THRILLING MARCH and SURFER FOOT were slow. Into the second bend THRILLING MARCH ran outwards and pushed ROYAL AKER wider. At the end of the back straight the lure lost some power with the leader getting closer than normal to it. After watching the replay the Stewards ruled that under Rule 75.1 no other runner had been substantially inconvenienced by the closeness of the lure. The lure was changed for the last race. THRILLING MARCH was observed to somersault the field at the lure with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 12 Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318 IBHANSI and ON MY MIND were slow to jump.
