Judicial report: Trainer Mr B Goldsack was fined $50.00 under rule 71 when he failed to catch a runner in race 3 as arranged
PEEKABOO POPPY, TIGER HOODS,I'M READY all completed satisfactory trials under rule 81 on the 23.2.2011
Handler Mr A Clark was given a first and final warning by the stewards for being late for pre race presentation for BABY FALOU in race one

Race 1 Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305 CLASSY HOLLY was well away from an inside draw then ran out on to LACHLAN VALLEY ,HORSE POWER had to check back off the heels and went back to the rear CLASSY HOLLY lost ground as they raced across the top bend when LACHLAN VALLEY came in ,CLASSY HOLLY lost more ground and finished towards the rear
Race 2 Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 305 TEN FOUR was well away from an inside draw ,was in 2nd position going in to the first turn ,then was observed to be uncomfortable in his galloping action and raced out wide across the top bend causing SEDGEBROOK LEE to check off his heels as this dog was making good ground at that point. SEDGEBROOK LEE was an unlucky runner and his chances of a good finish were extinguished in this incident TEN FOUR took YA GUNNA very wide in to the home straight ,with these two dogs filling the last positions at the line TEN FOUR was sent for a veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a right hip support injury with a 10 day stand down reccomended
Race 3 Guthrie Bowron Wanganui C1 - C1 - 520 Racing down to the first turn EXCUSE A VISION and SHEZA RATBAG came across the face of the feild causing tightning to RYENBROOK FLASH, CRYSTAL BANNER with CATCH A PENNIE and RUN BROADY RUN being squeezed up on the inside also ,a few strides further on CRYSTAL BANNER was pushed across on to the inside runners as SHEZA RATBAG attempted to get across on to the rail.All these runners lost ground at this point however they ran on well in the finish Eventual winner EXCUSE A VISION had been clear of the interference and was able to get a decent break on the field and run out a comfortable winner
Race 4 Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1/2 - C1/2 - 305 RUN FOR LLEYTON was awkwardly away from the inside box , was not hampered in this incident by leading all the way ULTIMATE SPICE made contact with the rail as they raced in to the first turn and lost a length at that point ,he was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found
Race 5 OfficeMax SpecA Final - SPECAf - 305 ALL ABOUT DOSH was slowest away from the start 'then raced out widest throughout the race and finished towards the rear In the run down to the first turn BACK DRAUGHT came across on to JAYDEN'S COURAGE and UPAHUT CRYSTAL resulting in JAYDEN'S COURAGE being squeezed back towards the rear at that point
Race 6 Morrie Gibbons Signs C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 Soon after the start CAIO FOR NOW came across on to MISS ARKANSAS and LOW AND HIGHS as ASH VEGAS came out resulting in LOW AND HIGHS (fav) being squeezed back to the rear losing 5 or so lengths ,he ran on well towards the finish to run in to 4th placing at the line On the point of the home turn TWENTY SIXTY was making good ground when he run in to a tight spot and had to take severe evasive action outwards to keep off the heels of ASH VEGAS , losing several lengths and finished in last placing at the line
Race 7 Palamountains Nutrition C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 From the start MY BAD JONNY and TAILS OFF came together jostling for a few strides ,SUMMER SPICE came across on to them causing tightning ,I'M NO VEGAN then came across as COOL ROYALE came out off the fence resulting in these dogs coming together and jostling for several strides. In behind these dogs JACK BANNER was jostled between ASK PLEASE and TAILS OFF for several strides and went back to the rear where he never got in to contention from there on in On the run in to the first turn TAILS OFF came out as JOE BANNER came in and they collided with JOE BANNER becoming unbalanced a couple of strides later ,he tailed the field for the remainder of the race and was sent for a veterinary examination where he was found to have suffered a triangle muscle injury with a 21 day stand down reccomended
Race 8 Mickeys Super Liquor C5 - C5 - 305 Soon after the start MAGICATE came out as ARIEL BAXTER came in resulting in FIVE KAY KAT being squeezed back towards the rear ALLEGRO VISION (2nd fav) was away well and up with the leader for approx half the journey ,then gave ground to finish in last placing at the line ,was ordered to be swabbed and sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found The kennel representitve handler Mr B Cole was spoken to by the stewards for an explanation regarding the dogs poor run ,Mr Cole advised the stewards that the Ahern kennels where not dissapointed in the dogs run tonight as it hadn't raced for 11 weeks and was blowing hard after the race.
Race 9 Broad Roofing Services C5 Final - C5f - 305 CAWBOURNE KING was awkwardly away from the start , he checked off the heels of ROTKARA MOMENTS as they raced in to the first turn and went back to the rear and was not galloping comfortably there after finishing in last position at the line ,was sent for a veterinary examination CAWBOURNE KING was found to be suffering from a right quadriceps injury with a 7 day stand down reccpmended In the run down to the first turn GOT THE JUICE came in as RON'S SECRET came out with UPAHUT STAR caught in between them ,they jostlled for several strides resulting in UPAHUT STAR being squeezed out from between them to the rear GOT THE JUICE was making good ground around the top bend then was forced to change ground outwards severly in having to cross the heels of DADDY LOWE ,GOT THE JUICE ended up widest on the home turn and finished in an unlucky 5th position at the line
Race 10 Keenan Concrete Wanganui C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 BIGTIME GEM headed hard left as she left the boxes almost cannoned in to FREDDY JOHN
Race 11 Gary Ross Decorator C5 - C5 - 305 SCOTT NO FUNDING(fav) was akwardly away from the start knuckling over for a stride costing her a length or so in the early run ,she was then pushed wide in to the first turn by CAWBOURNE MO causing her to cover a fair bit of extra ground across the top bend and was not able to get in to contention from there on in finishing in last position at the line The co trainer of SCOTT NO FUNDING told the stewards that they were dissapointed in the dogs run,
Race 12 Wanganui Security Services C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 SEDGEBROOK ELITE went up with the lids losing about 5 or so lengths ,he ran on well to finish in 4th position at the line
