The favourite AIN'T NO SAINT came together with LUCKY STREAK soon after the jump and then was checked as CORPORAL JONES ran outwards into the bend with both dogs losing ground. AIN'T NO SAINT made ground well to be only 1.7 lengths from the winner. |
| Race 2 | Thornton Auctions Sprint - C0 - 318 | RHODA HOLMES and WHATA LADY came together soon after the jump and dropped to the rear. APRIL REIGN was keen to get to the outside in the run down the back straight and came together with IMAGINATION with APRIL REIGN dropping to the rear. On the home turn TOP CAT checked outwards off RHODA HOLMES losing momentum. |
| Race 3 | Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint - C1 - 318 | DOSSIE was last to jump. CAWBOURNE BEAR and BOY SPICE came together for a stride soon after the jump. TRICKY PAULA ran outwards into the bend pushing SOHO PRINCE wider. CAPTAIN RICHIE ran outwards on the home turn simultaneously to BOY SPICE running inwards with these two runners coming together with CAPTAIN RICHIE losing some momentum. |
| Race 4 | February Maiden Series Final - C0f - 318 | BIG LASS and SMASH BANG WIN were the last to jump. JULIA NORRIS ran outwards soon after the jump and collided with MY DIANE for a stride. Soon after MY DIANE ran inwards and checked BIG LASS who lost ground. HICCUP angled down to the rail into the bend tightening RED RULES who checked and ran outwards. This caused SMASH BANG WIN to be badly checked and run into the path of MY DIANE who fell. She completed the course with no injury being detected. |
| Race 5 | NZRS Middle Distance Heat 1 - NZRSq - 527 Heat 1 | MR. JAZZ MAN was slow to jump. BOTANY MATTHEW, MAMAJA and EMBEZZLEMENT all came together for a stride soon after the jump. HAILEY'S AGENT ran outwards slightly on the home turn when challenging losing some momentum for a few strides. |
| Race 6 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Series Final - C1f - 318 | ASSEGAI and NEW MONIA were the last to jump. LIZZY LEE faltered soon after the jump and failed to complete the course. A post race veterinary check revealed a large abdomenal muscle blood vessel tear causing a major haemorrage with the dog being euthanised on humane grounds. |
| Race 7 | $25,000 Pick6 - C1 - 527 | SIPPIN TEQUILA was last to jump but made ground late for fourth. CASUAL TEA and SPIRIT OF GRACE were both tightened into the first bend as BIGTIME COWELL crossed them with CASUAL TEA dropping out by several lengths. He remained last throughout with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
| Race 8 | Ashford Boarding Kennels and Cattery Sprint - C2 - 318 | PSYCHOTIC ran inwards at the end of the back straight checking VIBURNUM and CLASSY FORT who lost ground and settled at the rear. |
| Race 9 | NZRS Middle Distance Heat 2 - NZRSq - 527 Heat 2 | TRIPLE TEE ran inwards at the jump with the favourite KING OF CLUBS being checked and settling last. This runner dropped further back in the running to finish 21 lengths from the winner. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn calf muscle with a twenty eight day stand down recommended. |
| Race 10 | Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C5 - 318 | KISSIN KATE checked outwards off the heels of ONE TOUGH COOKIE into the bend and into the path of ASTON RED with both KISSIN KATE and ASTON RED being badly checked and losing ground and their chances. |
| Race 11 | Carols TABS Stakes - C5 - 527 | WIZARD APPEAL ran inwards at the jump colliding with REGENT HURRICANE and GENISTA ROCKET with these three runners settling at the rear. |
| Race 12 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C3 - 318 | DOLLY SCRAMBLE was last to jump. BOTANY SHELLEY and DADDY'S MISTAKE were both tightened into the bend and lost ground with the favourite EMMA'S HEART being held up for a run in behind them. EMMA'S HEART finished on well for fourth when clear. |
