Judicial report: ELLY'S GIRL (HR Bond), a stand down from Manukau on 6 February 2011, was inspected by Veterinarian Phil Morrison on Monday 14 February in the presence of a Steward and found to be free of injury. Accordingly under Rule 82.5 the dog was allowed to start in Race 9. Trainer SL Ross was reminded of her obligations of complying with the orders of the starter in ensuring that the first line of dogs are boxed at the same time.

Race 1	Cambridge Maiden Series Heat 1 - C0q - 375 Heat 1	SHIRONA and DUMA came together at the jump settling well back. Into the bend SHIRONA ran a touch wide forcing DUMA wider with both dogs losing ground. The favourite THRILLING BLOOM was slow to jump and then held up when attempting to improve on the bend checking outwards and losing ground. She ran on when clear for fourth.
Race 2	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Series Heat 1 - C1q - 375 Heat 1	OKAYS BENAYOUN and FRIZZLE FRAZZLE were both slow to jump. PIN UP PUPPY crossed quickly from his outside draw contacting the favourite JULIA NORRIS who in turn checked THRILLING KITE who fell. She failed to complete the course with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 3	Cambridge Maiden Series Heat 2 - C0q - 375 Heat 2	WHATA LADY and PAMPEST were slow to jump. Into the bend WHATA LADY checked outwards off PAMPEST and ran wide dropping to the rear.
Race 4	Club House Sports Bar Series Final - C0f - 457	THRILLING BOLT ran inwards soon after the jump colliding with CAFE CHIC and JABU who both dropped to the rear. On the bend THRILLING SMIRK ran off the rail and was badly dragged down by MOCCONA with these two runners losing their chances. Favourite THRILLING FRANK was badly checked at this stage but made a lot of ground to finish third. Post race veterinary checks of THRILLING SMIRK and MOCCONA revealed no injuries.
Race 5	Presland Tocker Insurance Services Sprint - C2 - 375	JOHN DEED was last to jump. Following the race SO DEEP was found to have a deep puncture wound to his webbing with a ten day stand down recommended.
Race 6	Simplifood Stakes - C2 - 457	OLLIE FONZ ran outwards soon after the jump causing THRILLING RANSOM, MR. CHINO and YAMBLA BOB all to be tightened. On the home bend BURN FOR US checked outwards off THRILLING RANSOM as that runner crossed to the rail. BURN FOR US then ran into the path of REGENT DYNAMITE and fell with the dog suffering a fractured radius and ulna. The dog was euthanised on humane grounds.
Race 7	Greyhounds North Maiden Distance Series Heat - C0d - 650	HEZA ROCKET MAN was presented 2.5kgs above his last race weight with Trainer D Dunn advising that this weight gain was planned. The favourite THRILLING DEVIL was well back in the early stages and got held up on the turn as REGAL TENT started to weaken. When in the clear THRILLING DEVIL ran on fairly for a close fifth.
Race 8	Garrards Horse and Hound Sprint - C4 - 375	THRILLING ALERT and PROVERBIAL were both tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear. Soon after THRILLING ALERT checked outwards off runners and lost ground.
Race 9	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Series Heat 2 - C1q - 375 Heat 2	IBHANSI was awkwardly away and then checked into the first bend running wide and losing ground.
Race 10	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Series Heat 3 - C1q - 375 Heat 3	MISS FOLEY was last to jump. Soon after the start DOSSIE ran inwards with SOHO PRINCE being checked back to last. On the home turn SAMBO WARRIOR was pushed wide and checked MISS FOLEY on his outside.
Race 11	Victoria Station Sprint - C3 - 375	All clear.
Race 12	Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Stakes Feature - C1 - 457	PARNELL MIST was badly tightened at the end of the back straight dropping to the rear. She recovered well to run third. On the bend BINGO STARR was badly checked as THRILLING BOSS ran past him with BINGO STARR dropping out to the rear. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. The favourite SPECIAL PROJECT was tightened in the back straight and received a check when running on in the straight finishing towards the rear. Co-trainer Wayne Steele informed the Stewards that this dog has a great deal of mid-race speed and that this speed would have been negated with the tightening in the back straight. His comments were noted.
