| Race 1 | Welcome to Family Day Sprint - C0 - 318 | REFER TO RED, POOR BOUNCE and PAMPEST were the last to jump. MSHINDI came together with IMAGINATION for a stride into the bend and lost a couple of lengths. POOR BOUNCE checked off the heels of ASK SIX into the bend and nearly fell losing his chance with a post race veterinary check revealing long head triceps pain with a fourteen day stand down recommended. REFER TO RED and TOP CAT were tightened into the bend and lost ground. |
| Race 2 | Walnut The Clown Sprint - C3 - 318 | MISS TYRA was very awkwardly away from the inside and lost many lengths with CAWBOURNE MADZ also being slow to jump. MATILDA'S BEST and WINSOME ACHIEVER were badly tightened into the bend with WINSOME ACHIEVER being badly dragged down from behind and dropping out. On the home turn POSTMAN JIM ran outwards causing MATILDA'S BEST to be tightened and lose momentum. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on MISS TYRA and WINSOME ACHIEVER that revealed no injuries. |
| Race 3 | Bounce & Play Stakes - C0 - 527 | APRIL REIGN received a check on the bend into the back straight and lost ground. At the end of the back straight MELODY'S MUSE was tightened and lost a couple of lengths as RED RULES crossed to the rail in front of her. |
| Race 4 | Imaginaire Entertainment Stakes - C1 - 318 | THRILLING PIPPI was very slow to jump. MOODY MAN, LAUGHING BAR and WORLD CUP MISS all came together into the bend with the latter two dogs losing ground. |
| Race 5 | Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C5 - 318 | ELITE LUKE and PRIVATE PEDRO were tightened into the bend and lost ground. GOT THE JUICE and MY JACK ATTACK came together for a stride into the bend while GOT THE JUICE lost some momentum as the eventual winner MY JACK ATTACK crossed him on the bend. |
| Race 6 | Auckland Co-op Taxis Stakes - C1 - 527 | ROYAL AKER received a couple of sharp checks in the first part of the race and dropped out to the rear. He made up ground late with a precautionary check revealing a pad graze with a fourteen day stand down recommended. HOMEBUSH TUI received a slight check going into the first bend and moved outwards on to JETSUN BELLE for a stride. JETSUN BELLE ran outwards on the first bend and checked MACHIN SHIN for a stride. |
| Race 7 | $15,000 Pick6 Stakes - C2 - 527 | GENIUS AT WORK was hard to box and slow away. Into the first bend VIOLENT THUNDER attempted to cross to the rail in front of FANCY GIRL with FANCY GIRL unable to avoid him and colliding with VIOLENT THUNDER falling heavily. FANCY KATE also received a check at this stage losing ground. VIOLENT THUNDER stood in the middle of the track with handler Sam Lozell doing a great job in removing the dog from the track. A post race veterinary check of VIOLENT THUNDER revealed a fractured radius and ulna with the dog being euthanised on humane grounds. |
| Race 8 | Carols TABS Stakes - C1 - 527 | SIPPIN TEQUILA and PARNELL MIST were the slowest to jump. MISS JETSUN checked off MOONSHINE LASS into the first bend and lost a length. BIGTIME LUCKY was forced wide into the first bend and lost ground settling at the rear. |
| Race 9 | Terry Ryan Timber Sprint - C5 - 318 | ONE TOUGH COOKIE and FIND PEDRO were last to jump. TO THE CREST ran inwards on to TALIESIN BLUE for a stride soon after the jump with TALIESIN BLUE running outwards and checking REALON RAPTURE. TALIESIN BLUE then checked outwards off TO THE CREST on the bend with REALON RAPTURE being pushed wide at this point. |
| Race 10 | Bethells Farmstay For Dogs On Facebook Stakes - C3/4 - 527 | CORNELIUS was slow to jump and then checked outwards off SANTA SLOY on the first bend losing more ground. |
| Race 11 | Magness Benrow Sprint - C4 - 318 | WILD FLYNN was slow to jump. THRILLING PETRA and QUIET JOURNEY were forced wide into the bend with both runners losing ground. |
| Race 12 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C2 - 318 | FAIR MOVIN, ON MY MIND and BURN FOR US all dwelt at the start. REGAL TENT and BURN FOR US came together soon after the jump. GOLD FOR THYS was tightened into the bend along the inside and lost ground with FAIR MOVIN receiving a check in behind. BURN FOR US checked outwards off GO TO CROW on the home turn with GO TO CROW losing some momentum as a result. |
