Track: Good Very heavy rain later in the night made the track quite slushy for the last three races.

Judicial report: NONNA'S GIRL (SP Clark) completed a satisfactory trial at Cambridge on 10 January. Handlers P and N Lowen were both warned in regards to their footwear.

Race 1	Thornton Auctions Sprint - C3 - 318	CORPORAL JONES ran outwards in the back straight and checked CAWBOURNE MADZ who stumbled for a stride and dropped to the rear. Into the bend BARALLEN checked outwards off runners and came together with LITTLE BLACKSPOT who lost ground.
Race 2	Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C1 - 318	CAPTAIN RICHIE ran inwards at the jump coming together with HOMEBUSH TUI for a stride. REGAL TENT ran inwards in the back straight forcing VIBURNUM down onto CAPTAIN RICHIE with these two runners losing ground. On the bend REGAL TENT ran inwards and was badly checked from behind by HOMEBUSH TUI with REGAL TENT going down on his nose for a stride and dropping to the rear. A post race veterinary check of REGAL TENT revealed no injury.
Race 3	www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C2 - 318	SWINGING ZORRO and WILLEE WINDSOR were both slow to jump. Into the bend SWINGING ZORRO was tightened and appeared to make contact with the running rail dropping out to the rear with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 4	Auckland Co-op Taxis Stakes - C1 - 527	PLASMAH and HEZA ROCKET MAN came together on two occasions in the run to the first bend settling back in the field. PLASMAH was then tightened into the first bend and lost ground. On the home turn THRILLING GRIZZ checked off the back of ALL IN ONE and lost momentum.
Race 5	The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C5 - 318	CAPTAIN HASTINGS ran inwards and this combined with PRESSURE POINT running outwards ensured that ONE TOUGH COOKIE and ELITE LUKE were badly tightened and lost ground. PRESSURE POINT continued to attempt to get to the outside causing another check to CAPTAIN HASTINGS with ONE TOUGH COOKIE and ELITE LUKE being forced very wide into the bend and losing their chances. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on PRESSURE POINT and CAPTAIN HASTINGS with CAPTAIN HASTINGS having wrist pain with a seven day stand down recommended. PRESSURE POINT was found to have biceps femoris muscle soreness with a ten day stand down recommended.
Race 6	Trophies Plus Stakes - C1 - 527	SNOWIE SECRET was very awkwardly away stumbling for a few strides and dropping out to settle last. She made ground for fifth with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. ELEPHUNK ran out a touch into the first bend on to FANCY GIRL who in turn pushed SAMBO WARRIOR and ELLA'S ANGEL wider who lost ground.
Race 7	New Year Sprint Series Final - C5f - 318	BENGINEER was last to jump. On the home turn PRIVATE PEDRO ran outwards checking his sister BUT WHY NOT for a stride.
Race 8	Magness Benrow Stakes - C3/4 - 527	WINSOME FLASH was hard to box with this dog being placed on the Box First list for its immediate starts. WIZARD APPEAL ran inwards soon after the jump checking BROTHER RABBIT and MINT OCTANE who settled well back.
Race 9	Greyhounds North Maiden Series Final - C0df - 603	THRILLING MARCH and CORNELIUS were slow to jump. On the second turn TONY CAN'T GO ran outwards for a stride checking MIXED GRILL who lost ground.
Race 10	$16K of TAB Bonuses on Sunday - C3/4 - 318	FANCY SPIDER was last to jump. QUIET JOURNEY and BRIGHT CONQUEST came together in the run down the back and checked TO THE CREST from behind with this runner losing ground through the field. On the bend THRILLING WAG faltered badly and dropped away with a post race veterinary check revealing a broken hock with the dog being euthanised on humane grounds.
Race 11	Carols TABS Stakes - C5 - 527	The last two races were put back by 10 minutes at the request of Raceday Control. RASMAH checked off TRIPLE TEE on the home turn losing ground before finishing well for third.
Race 12	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C3/4 - 318	WHAT'S SHE PAYNE ran inwards soon after the jump tightening BAD STATE, WILD FLYNN and LUCKY STREAK on her inside with these runners losing ground. Into the bend LUCKY STREAK ran outwards with WILD FLYNN, BAD STATE and KAMACO receiving checks as a result. WILD FLYNN ran very wide on the home turn losing ground.
