Race 1	The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C1 - 318	HOTWAX and MOODY MAN were tightened soon after the jump as CAWBOURNE SPEED ran inwards. Into the bend HOTWAX and BIGTIME LUCKY lost ground as MOODY MAN angled outwards to obtain racing room. MOODY MAN ran on well for third when in the clear.
Race 2	Thornton Auctions Stakes - C1 - 527	BIGTIME COWELL proved difficult to box with it being placed on the box first list for its immediate starts. THRILLING APRIL was last to jump. Into the first bend ICHI NI ran outwards contacting MACHIN SHIN who was in turn badly checked from behind by OKAY'S VERA DEE. An improving THRILLING APRIL was forced very wide at this point. At the end of the back straight ICHI NI checked off the heels of the pacemaking FANCY KATE losing some momentum. After the bad check OKAY'S VERA DEE dropped out to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing a strained right hock with a twenty one day stand down recommended. There was no head on view available for this race.
Race 3	www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 318	QUICK KNOCK and JELLYSTONE PARK were slow away from the inside. These two runners then came together in the back straight with QUICK KNOCK losing ground in last place. A post race veterinary check revealed wrist and hock pain with a ten day stand down recommended.
Race 4	Sel's TAB Mangere Stakes - C1 - 527	SIPPIN TEQUILA and favourite OKAYS BENAYOIUN were both slow to jump. ALL IN ONE checked off the back of ELEPHUNK soon after the jump. MOONSHINE LASS was tightened between runners on the first bend and lost ground coming back on to SIPPIN TEQUILA with these dogs both dropping to the rear and remaining there.
Race 5	New Year Sprint Series Heat 1 - C5q - 318 Heat 1	NATURAL JOURNEY was slow to jump and remained last throughout with a post race veterinary check revealing a torn gracilis with a twenty eight day stand down recommended. Into the bend FANCY SPIDER and KID KOONAWARRA came together and both lost ground.
Race 6	Reel-Fishin.com Stakes - C2 - 527	THRILLING ASIA was last to jump. GENIUS AT WORK ran outwards into the first bend and pushed JOHN DEED and THRILLING ASIA wider around that bend. DARK FANCY lost ground from the first bend onwards finishing a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed hock and long head triceps strain with a twenty eight day stand down recommended.
Race 7	New Year Sprint Series Heat 2 - C5q - 318 Heat 2	A combination of SEELEY BOOTH running outwards and THRILLING ALERT running inwards caused MATANUSKA, PRESSURE POINT, BRIGHT CONQUEST and QUIET JOURNEY all to be severely tightened and have their chances extinguished in the back straight. On the home turn MATANUSKA and THRILLING ALERT came together losing some momentum. A post race veterinary check of MATANUSKA revealed split webbing with a fourteen day stand down recommended.
Race 8	Magness Benrow Stakes - C3/4 - 527	THRILLING CAIRO was 2 kgs above his last race weight with trainer S Payne advising that this was planned. CORNELIUS was hit by THRILLING CAIRO soon after the jump losing ground. Into the back straight CORNELIUS checked off heels when attempting to improve and lost a couple of lengths. A post race veterinary check of WINSOME RITE revealed disclocated toes with a twenty one day stand down recommended.
Race 9	New Year Sprint Series Heat 3 - C5q - 318 Heat 3	LOCHINVAR PRINCE was badly checked by BOTANY ADAM into the bend and dropped to the rear. On the home turn PUNK SCOOTER ran wide and lost some ground.
Race 10	Jack's Wholesale Meats Feature Stakes - C5 - 527	ROLLED OATS was held up for room at the end of the back straight and lost momentum with FANCY STEP losing ground as a result in behind.
Race 11	Terry Ryan Timber Sprint - C3 - 318	JAG'S FLYER was last to jump. BEAR CUB and ROBOTUSSEN came together for a stride in the back straight when racing in tight quarters.
Race 12	Trophies Plus Sprint - C4 - 318	REALON RAPTURE was checked for a stride as LADY HEATHER ran past him to the lead with THRILLING PETRA losing a length in behind these runners.
