Track: Good The lure broke down during the running of Race 10. This will be fixed and thoroughly tested before next Thursday's meeting.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer K Sutch-Jones was reminded of his obligations when given instructions by the starter. Handler Sam Lozell was reminded to be at the catching area in plenty of time when required. After the aborted running of Race 10 an inquiry was opened and adjourned against handler S Mann under Rules 88.1.g and 88.1.o. (Abuse of steward and misconduct).

Race 1	Hautapu Veterniary Clinics Stakes - C3 - 457	BOTANY MATTHEW came together with MADDER THAN soon after the jump with both dogs dropping to the rear. Into the bend STRIKE ONCE ran inwards contacting BOON DOCK with STRIKE ONCE being badly checked and almost falling. STRIKE ONCE dropped out to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 2	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Heat 1 - C1q - 375 Heat 1	TRIPLEM HAND and MOODY MAN were tightened soon after the jump and settled towards the rear. Following the race CAWBOURNE BEAR was found to have a cut to left elbow with a seven day stand down recommended.
Race 3	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Heat 2 - C1q - 375 Heat 2	WINSOME KELLY and LEVERAGE came together at the jump with LEVERAGE being badly checked and jumping in the air then running inwards on to BOY SPICE as a result. These dogs settled at the rear.
Race 4	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Heat 3 - C1q - 375 Heat 3	WHO'S YA DUFFER and favourite UNIQUE POWER were last to jump. JOLOKIA checked off GROOVY BANDIT into the bend and lost a length. UNIQUE POWER faltered soon after the line with a post race veterinary check revealing a badly disclocated hock with the dog being euthanised on humane grounds.
Race 5	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Heat 4 - C1q - 375 Heat 4	PROVERBIAL crossed quickly from her outside draw with all runners except SO DEEP and UTAR JET receiving some tightening. On the home turn UTAR JET ran wide and lost some ground while in midfield CENTRAL SKIP and THRILLING PUNCH came together and lost momentum.
Race 6	Denis Cole Memorial Waikato Sprint Heat 1 - C5q - 375 Heat 1	BRIGHT CONQUEST crossed quickly from his outside draw with firstly MOTHERLEE and soon after BEARLY NORMAL and CAWBOURNE JADE being tightened and losing ground.
Race 7	Denis Cole Memorial Waikato Sprint Heat 2 - C5q - 375 Heat 2	This race and Race 8 were delayed by five minutes due to the false start at the harness meeting. CAPTAIN CARLOS missed the jump badly tailing the field early. THRILLING RUST was checked and lost ground into the bend running on late for fifth.
Race 8	Denis Cole Memorial Waikato Sprint Heat 3 - C5q - 375 Heat 3	MAGICATE and MATES UNITE came together into the bend and lost their chances with CAULDRON also receiving a slight check and losing some ground. Following the race KISSIN KATE was found to have a strained left carpus with a five day stand down recommended.
Race 9	Racing Here Again Next Thursday - C2 - 457	THRILLING ASIA was slow away and then badly tightened into the bend as he attempted to improve dropping out to finish last.
Race 10	Merry Christmas From Cambridge Raceway - C1 - 457	The lure broke down after approximately 150 metres with this race being declared a "no race" under Rule 76.1. All dogs were inspected back inn the kennel area with no injuries sustained.
