Track: Good There was some concern expressed by Trainers regarding the fact that water lay by the rail around the bend and the Curator advised that this would be rectified immediately. There had been very heavy rain during the day prior to the meeting. The scales were very slow to register at times during kennelling and the Club Management have advised that they will be thoroughly checked prior to the next meeting.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	MILLIE SWANSON was away well but was galloped on by LISSADELL REBEL on the first corner and soon after was checked again when KINGA MIKE moved in slightlly and she went back to near the rear and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 2	Peter Sinclair Photos C1 - C1 - 375	KRUSSIAN began well from box 8 but was checked on the first corner when JUST TOM moved out and he went back to the rear and finished last.
Race 3	GEON Wellington C1/2 - C1/2 - 457	HE'S A STUNNER jumped on terms with the field but faltered soon after and drifted out to finish a long distance behind the other runners. He was examanined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. FLOATING AWAY moved out racing to the first corner and jostled MOANING MOANY for several strides. BUDDY BROKE moved out on the bend and checked SURF SUNSET who almost fell and lost several lengths.
Race 4	Manawatu Raceway Dash C5 - C5 - 375	MINDARIVA tended to race away from the rail on the first corner where water lay on the inside of the track and lost ground at that point. MINDARIVA again had to check on the bend to avoid the heels of POWERFUL ENEMY and he went back to the rear and finished in that position.
Race 5	Cloverlea Dash C1 - C1 - 375	The favourite ULTIMATE SPICE was slow to begin and he then raced very wide over extra ground on the bend but moved back down to the rail in the home straight and made up ground for 4th place.
Race 6	Hokowhitu Sprint C1/2 - C1/2 - 375	The start was delayed for 2.5 minutes when W.T.Hodgson was late to prepare HOMEBUSH JODIE ( Trainer J.T.McInerney ) to race and the remainder of the field were instructed to go without him. He then elected not to take the dog onto the track and a replacement handler was found and led the dog to the start and this resulted in the start being late. An inquiry into the matter was opened and adjourned to a future date. The race was all clear.
Race 7	Woodville Dash C1/2 - C1/2 - 375	MR METICULOUS was the slowest to begin and settled with the tailenders but recovered to finish well for 2nd placing.
Race 8	www.racingdogs.co.nz C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	All clear.
Race 9	Riverdale Dash C4 - C4 - 375	All clear.
Race 10	Foxton Dash C3 - C3 - 375	Two of the better supported runners ROADMANS SHACK and CAWBOURNE STEFFI were a little slow to begin and settled near the rear and they never recovered and finished in the back half of the field.
