MAD MEL ran inwards in the back straight checking SHIRONA who lost ground. SHIRONA then came together with REFER TO RED on her outside with these runners dropping to the rear. MAD MEL and URUTI STORM came together wider on the track on the turn. |
| Race 2 | Fred Wigg 1958-1965 - C0 - 318 | LENNONVILLE was last to jump. Into the bend DOSSIE crossed to the rail and was dragged down by HIT DE NOSE which fell soon after. LENNONVILLE and THRILLING BEV were badly impeded at this stage. On the home turn IBHANSI was checked as his brother MSHINDI crossed to the rail. Post race veterinary checks of DOSSIE and HIT DE NOSE revealed no injuries. |

TRIPLEM HAND was tightened for a stride down the back straight and tried to get to the outside checking THRILLING RAY in the process with both dogs losing ground. On the bend ALLBLACK ENFORCE ran wide and pushed CHEVERTON wider with both runners losing ground. |
| Race 4 | Ron Dent 1999-2002 - C4 - 318 | DOLLY SCRAMBLE was 2.6 kgs over her last race start with this weight gain being intentional. PRIVATE PEDRO received a slight check into the bend and lost a length. |

| Race 6 | Bob Van Meeuwen 1990-1995 - C1/2 - 318 | DUNN ROBIN YOU was awkwardly away and then ran inwards at the end of the back straight when improving. This checked himself, SHOWTIME ADDIS, REGAL TENT and THRILLING SNOW with THRILLING HONEY also running wide and losing ground at this point. |

| Race 8 | Thayne Green 1995-1999 - C0dq - 603 Heat 1 | BINGO STARR led in the early stages but ran wide on every bend dropping out to finish sixth. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. OSTI'S RUBY and TONY CAN'T GO came together into the first bend losing some momentum. A post race veterinary check of FUNTASTIC BOY revealed grazing to toes and pads with a twenty one day stand down recommended. |
| Race 9 | Barry McGhie 2002-2006 - C1 - 527 | BUCCAN ROAD was last to jump. COOL ROYALE ran outwards in the early stages and came into contact with BUCCAN ROAD on two occasions with both dogs losing ground. |
| Race 10 | Sam Fletcher Founders Day Cup - C4/5 - 527 | CORNELIUS was last to jump. WIZARD APPEAL jumped inwards at the start and pushed FANCY STEP down onto HAILEY'S AGENT for a couples of strides with RASMAH being tightened in between them and losing a length. On the home turn REGENT HURRICANE shouldered kennelmate EMBLAZING out of the way to obtain racing room with EMBLAZING losing some momentum. |
| Race 11 | Noel Philby 1983-1989 - C5 - 318 | FORTIS JOURNEY and ROLLED OATS were the last to jump. KISSIN KATE, TALIESIN BLUE and PUNK SCOOTER all came together on the home bend when well back. |
| Race 12 | Geoff Farrell 2006-2008 - C3 - 318 | THRILLING CAM was the last to jump. On the home turn ROYAL MINTY checked sharply outwards off the heels of BEAR CUB pushing BIGTIME MOE and TWENTY SIXTY off the track with these three runners losing their chances. |
