Track: Good The track was inspected on three occasions throughout the day by Stewards and the Race Day Veterinary Surgeon and later in the day it was observed that the water being applied was not having an impact.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: An information was opened and adjourned into the weight variance of CAPTAIN RICHIE (N.P.Green) a starter in race 6.
An information was opened and adjourned into the late kennelling of greyhounds from the S.P.Clark kennel.

Race 1	www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C2 - 318	Shortly after the start HONG KONG LOUIE was checked by SHOWTIME ADDIS with HONG KONG LOUIE hitting the rail and falling as a result of this incident. HONG KONG LOUIE was subjected to a veterinary examination which revealed a left hind spike wound. REFUSED SERVICE and GLOW BELLE DOLL were also checked by the veterinary surgeon with both receiving injuries. REFUSED SERVICE received a right transverse ligament rupture while GLOW BELLE DOLL had pain in the hock/gastroc/tendon/calf muscle area.
Race 2	Manukau Maiden Sprint Series Heat 1 - C0q - 318 Heat 1	Shortly after the start HIT DA NOS fell as a result of being squeezed between BON VAGUE and FAIR MOVIN. HIT DA NOS was subjected to a veterinary examination which revealed a right hock strain with a 10 day stand down.
Race 3	Thornton Auctions Maiden Stakes Feature - C0 - 527	AMY KAY was slow to begin. At the winning post on the first occassion SURFER FOOT appeared to ease when racing clear of other greyhounds. SURFER FOOT was subjected to a post race veterinary examination which revealed no injury. The connections of SURFER FOOT were shown the replay of the race and were advised that in the opinion of the Stewards this greyhound had failed to pursue the lure with due committment and is therefore suspended for 28 days (first offence) under Rule 80.1 b. and is also required to complete a satisfactory trial as per 81.1.
Race 4	Manukau Maiden Sprint Series Heat 2 - C0q - 318 Heat 2	PAMPEST was slow to begin and appeared to take 2 or 3 short strides shortly after the start, as a precaution PAMPEST was subjected to a post race veterinary check which revealed no injury. Half way down the back straight WORLD CUP MISS, URUTI STORM, AMBLE UP, THRILLING BEV and REFER TO RED were all involved in general tightening.
Race 5	Reel Fishin' R/A Series Final - R/A - 527 Heat 1	THRILLING MARCH went up with the lids and was slow to begin.
Race 6	Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint Series Heat 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1	All clear.
Race 7	$15,000 Pick Six Stakes - C1 - 527	At the winning post on the first occassion BINGO STARR ran out causing interference to THRILLING MAVIS, ROYAL AKER, PLASMAH and MOONSHINE LASS with all of these dogs losing considerable ground. As the field entered the back straight BINGO STARR checked off the heels of ROYAL AKER. There was no head on replay of this race.
Race 8	The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C5 - 318	KERRIE'S FANTASY was subjected to a post race veterinary examination which revealed a right hind dislocated toe.
Race 9	$10,000 Bonus Quaddie Stakes - C2/3 - 527	On the first bend BOON DOCK was momentarily squeezed between FANCY KATE and MADDER THAN losing momentum.
Race 10	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C4 - 318	All clear.
Race 11	Magness Benrow Stakes - C4/5 - 527	WINSOME JAMES was hit hard from behind by FANCY STEP shortly after the finishing line and was subjected to a post race veterinary inspection which revealed no injury.
Race 12	Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint Series Heat 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 2	PURE DESIRE was squeezed between WRAITH and THRILLING DOLL as the field raced into the first bend with all three losing ground. On the point of the bend SO DEEP was squeezed between LIZZY LEE and ALL ABOUT LOUD with SO DEEP being forced over extra ground.
