Track: Good The Stewards were concerned with the holes which were appearing on the Track as the meeting progressed and it was clear that the equipment being used for grooming between races was not having the desired affect. The Club Manager was requested to get access to a broom which the Stewards believe from experience at other tracks, would greatly assist in the efforts to present a more suitable racing surface in the future.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: TERROR JIM was late scratched on the orders of the Stewards under Rule 64.17 when in breach of Rule 111.3 as it was established that the dog was being kept in kennels other than those of its registered Trainer in excess of 14 days. TERROR JIM was stood down from racing under Rule 64.19 until such time as the Stewards are satisfied that the dog is being Trained and housed within the G.R.N.Z rules. An inquiry was opened and adjourned pending further inquiries into the circumstances of the Training and housing of TERROR JIM.

Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	NATHAN OPAWA began a little awkwardly losing three lengths and he stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 2	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH WIGGLE ran in from the start and checked CLASSY HOLLY and MISS COOKA who both settled at the rear and stayed back throughout the race. LOST FRIENDS was slow to begin and he then checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH DAPHNE on the bend and lost further ground but did make up ground from there to finish in 4th place.
Race 3	GUTHRIE BOWRON C1 - C1 - 520	COOL ROYALE checked over the heels of DANCING POWER on the first bend and lost several lengths but was observed to be running on well to make up ground for 4th placing.
Race 4	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	CAPTAIN RICKY began on terms with the other runners but drifted off the back of the field racing to the first turn and he continued to drift finishing several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a tricep injury.
Race 5	PALAMOUNTAINS NUTRITION C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	All clear.
Race 6	OFFICEMAX C2 - C2 - 520	WANDY KYLE had difficulty clearing HOMEBUSH BROCK who was just ahead on the final bend but once into the straight, WANDY KYLE switched out across the heels of HOMEBUSH BROCK and went on to win.
Race 7	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C3 - C3 - 305	AWESOME VINTAGE checked off the heels of CATCH A DREAM on the bend and dropped back onto HOMEBUSH DUSTY and both dogs lost ground and stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 8	MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	SEPTEMBER BLUE was tightened between SNOW TRAIL and MELANDRI on the first corner and went back to last but recovered to make up ground and win the race. MELANDRI was held up behind OPAWA GEM for several strides on the final bend and when in the clear, he ran on for 3rd place.
Race 9	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES C5 - C5 - 305	REGAL BAND ran out on the first corner and checked KYLE IZMIR, DADDY LOWE, ALLEGRO VISION and CAWBOURNE MO and they lost several lengths and all chance and finished in the last four places.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE C 4/5 - C4/5 - 520	SLICE OF MAGIC was very slow to begin losing four lengths but he gradually made up ground and was observed to be running on well to finish in 4th place. One of the better supported runners BIGTIME GEM was forced to race wide to the first corner from box 8 and was then checked on the first bend. he then went back to the rail but was checked again entering the final bend losing further ground and finished in last place. LAGOON BEACH BOY checked of the heels of BOTANY MATTHEW on the final bend and moved out forcing SLICE OF MAGIC and SUGAR PLUM wide over extra ground.
Race 11	BILDERBECK CONSTRUCTION C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	TURF MOOR and JACKSON CAT were both checked on the first corner and went down behind and were classed as falling but continued to finish the race several lengths behind the other runners. They were examined and cleared of injury CAWBOURNE BUNDY and WILD ST TEDDY were also checked in the incident and lost all chance.
Race 12	MEDIA WORKS C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	CHILD'S PLAY and MISTER WHISKER disputed the lead to the first corner where CHILD'S PLAY appeared to suffer a hind leg injury and dropped back quickly and fell. DOING THE TIME collided with CHILD'S PLAY and lost several lengths in the incident. CHILD'S PLAY was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a fractured hock.
