Track: Good The pre race meeting auditing of the track was undertaken prior to kennelling and that revealed no obvious problems with the race surface. The circumstances as to the abandoning the balance of the race meeting following Race 5 was taken by the Stewards as provided for under Rule 38.3.t. details which are set out in the running report under Race 5.
Scales: Correct at 25kgs
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Handler EM DOODY was charged with a breach of Rule 71.4 resulting from her failing to catch HIDDEN ANGEL (BC Dann) at the conclusion of Race 7 on 25 November 2010. She pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $50.00 as per the NZGRA Minor Infringement Table.
Trainer MGC ROBERTS was charged with a breach of Rule 68.6 as a result of failing to produce 3 race dogs for kennelling not later than 60 minutes before the advertised starting time of the first race. He pleaded guilty to the charge and in explanation said that he had loaded the dogs into his parent van prior to getting ready to attend the race track. In the interim his father loaded the dogs into the family and advised him so, however he got into the van and drove to the race track realizing only a short distance from Addington Raceway that he did not have the race dogs on board. He was fined $50.00 as per the NZGRA Minor Infringement Table.

Race 1	Barron's Supplies Ph.3859438 Sprint - C4 - 295	TUKURUA ZAC was checked when tightened between dogs into the bend. Into the straight CAWBOURNE SHOT checked out off the heels of TEPIRITA TIKI and collided with CRAFTY CLEEVE.
Race 2	www.aaroncoullhearttransplant.co.nz Sprint - C1/2 - 295	TEMPTING OFFER was slow to jump. GENISTA LIGHTNIN and KNOCK 'EM DOWN came together soon after the jump. Into the bend GENISTA LIGHTNIN got on the heels of APATCHIE SCOTT losing ground and coming back on TEMPTING OFFER.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C3 - 295	BOSCA FELLA was slow to jump. Into the bend KNOW JOY and CAWBOURNE CART came together losing ground. Soon after OSWALD BOATENG moved out in front of INGA THE WINGA who clipped heels, losing momentum. Into the straight an improving INGA THE WINGA hit the hindquarters of KNOW JOY who was turned sideways.
Race 4	Flair Sprint - C5q - 295 Heat 1	SWIFT CONQUEST was slow to jump. OHOKA KERRY and DA BOSS came together into the bend. GENISTA COMET ran wide around the bend and adjacent to the 520 metre boxes sudden faultered finishing some distance behind the balance of the field. A veterinary check revealed a fractured right hock resulting the dog being euthanased on humane grounds.
Race 5	Excelsior Sports Bar & T.A.B Stakes - C3 - 520	Following the running of this race the Club Veterinarian reported that she was concerned about injuries that had occured at the top of the main straight ( Race 11 on 01 December 2010 and Race 4 at this meeting) in which two dogs had sustained fractured right hocks at an apparent similar point on the race track. It was her opinion that the racing surface posed a welfare problem to dogs racing on the surface as it was, particularly the sprinting dogs and there was a real danger of further serious injury. Following discussion with the veterinarian regarding her concerns, and discussions with the club CEO, Stewards decided to abandon the Race meeting as provided for in Rule 38.3.t.
