Track: Good On arrival at the track, the Stewards found that the weighing scales were not working and a Technician was called and confirmed that they were not able to repair them at that time. As a result the Greyhounds could not be weighed and the Club will have the scales repaired, or a new set will be purchased prior to the next meeting.
Scales: The scales were not able to be used.
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: The inquiry into the late scratching of MICKEY THE RAT at Palmerston North on 22.11.10 was reconvened and concluded at this meeting. After due consideration in relation to the matter, it was concluded that while it was upsetting for the connections of MICKEY THE RAT, there were mitigating circumstances and no further action was considered necessary other than to put in place systems to prevent this occurring again. The scratching was as a result of FAST PAUSE being stood down at Wanganui on 17.11.10 for 5 days but the Trainers miscalculating that the stand down expired on 22.11.10 when in fact the date was 21.11.10. The papers were picked up from the Wanganui office prior to the Stewards marking them for the stand down. FAST PAUSE was in any event, unable to race on 22.11.10 as the injury was still present and the dog was presented on 22.11.10 and given a further 5 day stand down. In the meantime MICKEY THE RAT had been advertised through the T.A.B as starting from FAST PAUSE'S box which was incorrect and which the Stewards could not allow.

Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR C1 - C1 - 305	BOTANY ANGELA began best of all but the jostled with ASHBY ELLY on the first turn and then dropped back and jostled with HOMEBUSH NELSON and went back to last and finished in 2nd last place. She was observed to be limping after the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a hock strain.
Race 2	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM C1 - C1 - 305	THRILLING DEE began awkwardly losing ground and settling at the rear and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. STIFF ran in from the start and checked SINGLE SCULLER and HOMEBUSH DAPHNE who both lost ground. STIFF then moved in on the first corner and checked MINI DEAN and HOMEBUSH WIGGLE who both lost ground but they recovered to finish in 3rd and 4th places.
Race 3	GUTHRIE BOWRON C1 - C1 - 520	HAYLEY'S WISH went up with the box lids and lost three lengths and she stayed in last place throughout the race.
Race 4	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C2 - C2 - 305	STILL NO TRACK was very slow to begin losing four lengths but he recovered to finish in 2nd place. COOL TRACEY moved in on the first corner and caused checks to itself and also HOMEBUSH JAG, CRYSTAL SAL, DEL TONES and UPAHUT CRYSTAL. COOL TRACEY fell heavily in the incident and was examined by the Vet, found to have fractured a shoulder and was euthanased. The other affected runners all lost ground and finshed in the last four places.
Race 5	VITA POWER C2 - C2 - 305	LITTLE BLACKSPOT checked out off the heels of PSYCHOTIC on the first corner and BOTANY HORNET racing further out was checked back to last. LITTLE BLACKSPOT then moved out on the bend and collided with STATE OF PARDON and both lost ground and finished in the last two places.
Race 6	OFFICEMAX C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	BONNIE BOUCHEA and SALLY SAY SO came together and bumped soon after the start and lost momentum. KERRY'S DELIGHT then moved across towards the rail on the first corner and checked BONNIE BOUCHEA who lost ground and she stayed back from there to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 7	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C3 - C3 - 305	BIGTIME PAL was slow to begin but ran on to finish in 3rd place. ROTKARA LUCY was checked on the first corner and dropped back onto MISTER WHISKER and both lost ground.
Race 8	MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR C4 - C4 - 305	ROTKARA MOMENTS was slow to begin and was then checked losing further ground on the first turn when runners drawn wider moved in and she finished in 2nd last place.
Race 9	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	THRILLING BASH checked off the heels of HIFI ALLEGRO on the bend and lost three lengths. The leader ALLEGRO VISION moved out on the home turn and caused a slight check to HIFI ALLEGRO who was improving on the outside and this may have cost HIFI ALLEGRO the chance of winning instead of finishing in 2nd place. JANIE PHOENIX drew box 8 and she raced wide over extra ground and finished in last place.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE C 4/5 - C4/5 - 520	KAZZ RAZZ moved in from the start and made contact with LITTLE MOTHER and they bumped on three ocassions before the first corner but LITTLE MOTHER recovered from the bumps to win narrowly.
Race 11	BILDERBECK CONSTRUCTION C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	SCOTT NO FUNDING was tightened between MISSY OCTANE and BILLY WHIZ soon after the start and went back to the rear. MISSY OCTANE continued to move out and jostled with BILLY WHIZ who then moved in onto MISSY OCTANE on the first corner causing that runner to check losing several lengths and she stayed back to finish in last place. The Handler M.Gowan was shown video of the race and advised that the run of MISSY OCTANE was suspect and the Stewards would be watching her performances closely in future starts.
