Judicial report: Trainer DD Schofield was fined $50.00 (under the Minor Infringements Table) after failing to provide a catcher for WINSOME JOLIE after Race 8. Handler T Steele was reminded of her obligations in so far as the correct attire when handling.

MAD MEL, HONG KONG LOUIE and THRILLING BEV all came together soon after the jump with THRILLING BEV dropping to the rear. MAD MEL was checked as HONG KONG LOUIE improved sharply and ran inwards into the bend with MAD MEL losing ground. |
Race 2 | Carols TABs Sprint - C1/2 - 318 | DOLLY SCRAMBLE was a shade slow but recovered quickly to lead into the bend and go on to win the event. LIZZY LEE was tightened to the rear soon after the jump. CAWBOURNE MADZ wanted to get to the rail in the back straight and in doing so checked herself, CAWBOURNE SPEED and WILLEE WINDSOR who all lost ground |
Race 3 | www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C3/4 - 318 | WINSOME SKY and ROBOTUSSEN came together into the bend when at the rear. On the bend KAMACO wanted to get to the outside while THRILLING MIX and ROTOVEGAS GIRL keen to get to the rails. This resulted in these dogs all losing momentum and VALIDICTION being checked in behind them. |
Race 4 | $1,000 Bonus First4s Stakes - C4 - 527 | OSTI'S RUBY was tightened on the first bend settling towards the rear. |
Race 5 | Reel-Fishin.com Series Final - C1f - 318 | JELLYSTONE PARK and THRILLING AZTEC were the slowest to jump. UTAR NANA ran outwards in the early stages and this combined with GEORGE O'MALLEY running inwards caused tightening to SO DEEP and GRADUATED CLASS who lost ground. Favourite THRILLING AZTEC received a check when improving into the bend and lost some momentum running on for third. |
Race 6 | Thornton Auctions Sprint - C5 - 318 | Favourite ONE TOUGH COOKIE was crossed by CAPTAIN CARLOS at the jump and then forced wide when attempting to improve into the bend losing some ground. |
Race 7 | $15,000 Pick 6 Sprint - C4/5 - 318 | BEAR CUB was a clear two lengths last on jumping. NATASHA'S DUFFER ran in sharply soon after the jump badly checking PICCADILLY LINE and POSTMAN JIM who was forced to leap over NATASHA'S DUFFER. NATASHA'S DUFFER nearly fell in the incident and dropped away. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on POSTMAN JIM and NATASHA'S DUFFER that revealed no injuries. ONIE'S LAD was found to have split webbing and a dislocated toe with a twenty eight day stand down recommended |
Race 8 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Stakes - C2/3 - 527 | Favourite CORNELIUS was five lengths last soon after the jump but put up a huge performance to get up and win. Following the race WINSOME JOLIE was checked by the veterinarian as to whether the bitch was in season after some trainers had suspected that this was the case. It was confirmed that WINSOME JOLIE was not in season. |
Race 9 | $10,000 Bonus Quaddie Sprint - C3 - 318 | LUCKY STREAK was the slowest on jumping with THRILLING PETRA receiving a check soon after and losing ground.. Soon after the jump GOLD FOR THYS was turned sideways as MATILDA'S BEST ran inwards sharply. This also caused LUCKY STREAK and DREAM A WIN to be checked on their outside. LUCKY STREAK and MATILDA'S BEST came together on the home turn when well back. A post race veterinary check of GOLD FOR THYS revealed no injury. |
Race 10 | Peter Fenemor Stakes - C5 - 527 | FANCY STEP was held up for room for some strides on the first bend. |
Race 11 | Magness Benrow Stakes - C1 - 527 | CAWBOURNE SNOWY ran inwards soon after the jump tightening FANCY KATE and JUBILEE LINE for a few strides. Into the first bend CASUAL TEA and CAWBOURNE SNOWY collided as CAWBOURNE SNOWY continued to get to the rails with both dogs losing ground. |
Race 12 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318 | OKAY'S VERA DEE ran inwards down the back straight tightening THRILLING DOLL and hit the running rail with some force dropping to the rear. A post race veterinary check of OKAY'S VERA DEE revealed no injury. |
