Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Owner/trainer JR GOODE was charged with a breach of Rule 63.10 as a result of failing to withdraw DON THE HOP from Race 4 at the Otago GRC meeting on 12 October 2010. He admitted the charge and was fined $150.00 in accordance with the GRNZ Minor Infringement System.
Owner/trainer G KINGSTON made an aplication under Rule 82.5 in respect of GLENMORE LASS who was stood down for 14 days under Rule 82.1. at the Otago GRC meeting on 12 October 2010. Veterinarian L ROBERTS conducted the examnation on course in the presence of Steward A McENTEE, and she deemed the bitch to not be free of injury. The stand down imposed therefore remains.
Trainer MJ FLIPP made application under Rule 82.9 to undertake a Satisfactory Trial with HALF AS MATE who was stood down on 3 September 2010 under Rule 82.8. HALF AS MATE completed the Satisfactory Trial and following veterinary examination was cleared to race.

Race 1	Barron's Supplies Ph.3859438 Sprint - C4 - 295	MISS BRUGGE stumbled soon after the jump after coming in contact with CAWBOURNE CLICK. LES BAXTER moved away from the rail colliding with FLAT BATTERY into the bend.
Race 2	Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C3 - 295	GENISTA COMET and COT CASE CUTIE were slow to jump. Into the bend MAGICATE checked out off the heels of KNOW PROOF who was dragged down for a stride or two. MAGICATE with his outward movement collided with UNO HARRIET who in turn came in contact with an improving GENISTA COMET who was forced wide as a result.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C5 - 295	SAFE AND SECURE and AINT THAT COOL came together in the run to the bend. MISS IDOL who won the race easily was knocked over and trampled at the leg sustaining a serious leg injury. A veterinary check revealed a right hind tibiotarsal luxation with a 28 day stand down recommended.
Race 4	www.racingdogs.co.nz Stakes - C4 - 520	SABRE PRINCE and MIXED GRILL were tightened soon after the jump. UNO JEWEL checked out off the heels of OPAWA FLYER into the back straight. UNO JEWEL and SABRE DANCE came together across the top bend and into the straight when racing at the rear.
Race 5	I Pave Concrete Dash - C3 - 295	YALDHURST FLYER ran out after the jump colliding with OSWALD BOATENG. ALBIE'S LAD ran out into the bend resulting in TEPIRITA TIKI, BELFAST MUNCHA and YALDHURST FLYER being checked. MONSTER SURF was tightened between the winner and second placegetter short of the line.
Race 6	Murray@Re/Max Ph.3715005 Stakes - C2 - 520	LAGER IN PARIS ran outwards from the start tightening the field with the exception of MORIARTY who ended up trailing LAGER IN PARIS. MORIARTY drove to the lead at the end of the back straight before easing soon after with LAGER IN PARIS regaining the lead which she held to the finish. MORIARTY was subject to a veterinary check which revealed him to have tied up with no stand down recommended. Trainer A LEE was shown the race film. Stewards deemed MORIARTY to be in breach of Rule 80.1.b and he was stood down for a period of 28 days and ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial.
Race 7	The Miller Bar & Cafe Dash - C5 - 295	RONRAY DISCO ran down to the rail into the bend tightening KNOW NEED, NATALIA BALE, RUDE RODNEY and CAWBOURNE LORNA.
Race 8	Flair Stakes - C2/3 - 520	FANCY DIVER was slow to jump. Turning into the home straight CALM WAVES moved out and marred the running of CAWBOURNE RYE. Trainer R CASEY was shown the race film. Stewards deemed CALM WAVES to be in breach of Rule 80.1.b. As this was her second offence she was stood down for a period of 3 months and ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial.
Race 9	Christchurch Classic Final - R/Af - 520	OHOKA ZOE and KING OF CLUBS were tightened after the jump by TEDDY MARCELLO. Soon after TIMS TIGER was tightened by ULTIMATE DREAM on his outer. Into the back straight ULTIMATE DREAM moved away from the rail colliding with TEDDY MARCELLO was was badly checked. KING OF CLUBS was vetted and found with a laceration to the top of his right fore paw which required sutures. A 10 day stand down was recommended.
Race 10	Super Pets Sprint - C4 - 295	STRAIGHT OFF and OLD MATE DAVE were slow to jump. Into the bend MARLENE'S BABE moved outwards into the path of REDLINE REVOLVER who was checked coming back on INGA THE WINGA. Soon after an improving OLD MATE DAVE moved outwards colliding with INGA THE WINGA who fell, before regaining his feet to finish the race. A veterinary check revealed soreness to the left hip with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 11	www.containersdirect.co.nz Stakes - C4/5 - 520	All clear.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C5 - 295	TIM BAXTER and MISSY DAUGHTER collided into the bend. Into the straight KYLE IZMIR forced WHITE RIDER outward when improving along the rail. Soon after an improving CHILE TART collided with TALIESIN BLUE.
