Judicial report: The box lids were a little slow to open for race 6 and the payment of dividends was held up while the Stewards checked to ensure that no runners were inconvenienced by this incident. Clearly they were not and authority to pay was given but all remaining races from the sprint boxes were manually started and Club management has confirmed that the equipment will be thoroughly checked before the next meeting.

Race 1	AWAPUNI STAKES C0 - C0 - 457	KNOW WHICH, NIGEL THE LEGIN and AUSTIN WILD were all slow to begin and they settled at the rear.
Race 2	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS C0 - C0 - 375	FAST PAUSE ran in from box 8 at the start and caused checks to WALTON GRACE, MISS YOU HONEY, THRILLING FRANK and THRILLING TUNE who all lost ground. THRILLING TUNE was checked again on the first corner when checking over the heels of THRILLING FRANK but he recovered well to finish in 2nd place. THRILLING FRANK checked off the heels of WALTON GRACE on the bend and lost ground and he finished in 6th place.
Race 3	GEON WELLINGTON C1 - C1 - 375	LAURIE'S BEST was checked on the first corner losing several lengths and ROADMAN'S SHACK went off stride at the same time and he too lost ground and they finished several lengths behind the other runners. Both were examined by the Vet and ROADMAN'S SHACK was stood down for 10 days with a quadricep injury while LAURIE'S BEST was also stood down for 10 days with a pectoral muscle injury.
Race 4	FOXTON SPRINT C1 - C1 - 375	OPTICAL MAN was slow to begin losing four lengths but he did make up ground to finish in 4th place. CLASSY HOLLY was checked twice in the run to the first turn and then checked again on the corner losing several lengths and she finished at the rear.
Race 5	CLOVERLEA STAKES C1 - C1 - 457	The favourite KNOW SPUNK was slow to begin losing three lengths but he made up ground very well to win the race. PURE DREAMER was checked in the run to the first corner and went back to near the rear but he recovered to finish very well for 2nd placing.
Race 6	HOKOWHITU DASH C2 - C1/2 - 375	PINTA GUINNESS was checked back to last on the first corner and he stayed there throughout the race.
Race 7	WOODVILLE DASH C3 - C3 - 375	CATCH A PUNTA was slow to begin from box 8 and could not make up the lost ground and finished in 5th place. KNOW SPORTY was checked on the first corner losing ground and all chance of a placing. LAST SHOW checked over the heels of a runner ahead on the home turn and moved out sharply and collided with OUR PLAYBOY and they finished in the last two places.
Race 8	RIVERDALE SPRINT C5 - C5 - 375	SCOTT NO WIVES was slow to begin but then made up ground until having to check off the heels of SHE ROCKS on the first corner and he went back to last. He did make up some ground from there to finish in 5th place.
Race 9	MANAWATU RACEWAY STAKES C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	ZAMBRE ARANDT fell heavily near the first corner and after examination by the Vet, he was euthanased on humane grounds due to a severe back injury. ROCK MAGIC and NO HELP NEEDED jostled together on the first corner and both lost ground.
Race 10	WWW.RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ C4 - C4 - 375	All clear.
Race 11	MARTON DASH C4 - C4 - 375	FLIRTINI began very awkwardly and lost several lengths and all chance of paying a dividend.
Race 12	TURAKINA STAKES C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	HOMEBUSH MELL was a late scratching when found to be suffering from an injury when removed from the kennel to be prepared for the race. WANDY KYLE jumped well to be sharing the lead going to the first corner but then drifted back to mid field on the bend. He then ran on well in the straight to finiish in 2nd place
