A veterinary check revealed a fractured right hind metatarsal with a 28 day stand down recommended. |

Into the back straight PEGSON FIRE was tightened and checked by ANOTHER LEGIN as that dog drove to the lead. |

Around the first bend SALLY SAY SO drifted off the rail colliding with KNOW EXCITEMENT who came back on MULBERRY BLACK, WITCHALICIOUS and KNOW SPUNK. Into the back straight MULBERRY BLACK and KNOW EXCITEMENT collided. |
| Race 4 | Excelsior Sports Bar & TAB Sprint - C0 - 295 | Around the bend the winner GROOVY BANDIT ran down towards the rail forcing INIGO JONES into the path of OKOTOKS who was checked before being struck from behind by CRASH GYBE who fell heavily, taking no further part in the race. A veterinary check revealed a left hock sprain with a 14 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 5 | Cairns Clan Stakes - C0 - 520 | ANOTHER DRIZZLE and OPAWA BLACK were slow to jump and were again checked when tightened into the first bend. Into the back straight SMOOCHA checked out off the heels of THATS COOL running wide. ICED UP was observed to ease after ranging up alongside the leader in the home straight. Stewards deemed ICED UP to be in breach of Rule 80.1.b. The trainers representative L Phillips was shown the race film and confirmed Stewards observations. ICED UP was stood down under Rule 80.1.b for a period of 28 days and ordered to complete a Satisfactory Trial. |
| Race 6 | Garrard's Horse & Hound Dash - C1 - 295 | WILLY'S PRIDE was slow to jump. FOREIGN GOING, ACHEW ACHEW and PROTEST LINE came together after the jump. Into the bend FOREIGN GOING clipped the heels of PROTEST LINE. |

NINA'S GIRL ran very wide down the back straight before moving down towards the rail around the top bend tightening BOTANY GARETH, SOFA LOAFA and TIAN HAO SURFER. Into the home straight SOFIA'S GIRL and UNDER COVER came together. |
