Judicial report: TIMELY ENFORCER (AJ McCook & JM Jopson) weighed in at 28.6kg which was 1.9k above the race weight recorded at her last race start on 7 September 2010. Enquiries by the Stewards revealed that an incorrect weight had been recorded on the race record card for 7th September when the correct weight on that day was 28.7kg. ALLEGRINI (P Lin) weighed in at 1.8k above his last race start weight on 17th September and DESTINE TO EXCEL (AJ McCook& JM Jopson) weighed in at 3.3kg above his last race start weight on 19th August with Stewards noting that both dogs had changed trainers since their last race start and no further action was required.
An autopsy was performed on BULLFIGHTIN' JIMI who passed away after winning Race 1 on 30 September 2010. That revealed a haemorrhage to a mesentric blood vessel to be the cause of death.
Mr JT McInerney, the trainer of HOMEBUSH KALAMA, a starter in Race 8, was charged under Rule 64.1 with failing to notify the club secretary by 7.30am on race day of the withdrawal of the dog. HOMEBUSH KALAMA was a scratching under Rule 64.12 at the meeting of the Wanganui GRC on 29 September and was presented for a veterinary check at Christchurch on 30 September. The matter was adjourned pending submissions from the trainer.

Race 2	Barrons Supplies PH 3859438 Stakes - C0q - 520 Heat 2	HOMEBUSH ZAH was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. Into the first turn MEDIVAC checked off the hindquarters of MULBERRY BLACK and then into the back straight JUST TEASING checked off MULBERRY BLACK and lost ground.
Race 3	Barrons Supplies PH 3859438 Stakes - C0q - 520 Heat 3	POOR MARIA was slow to jump. Into the first turn ICED UP stumbled and lost ground when striking the rear of HOMEBUSH BERRY. Into the straight HOMEBUSH BRUCE moved outwards and collided with MERMAN JEWEL. After the race ICED UP was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injruy.
Race 4	Barrons Supplies PH 3859438 Stakes - C0q - 520 Heat 4	KNOW INCENTIVE and BANNED NO LONGER were both slow to jump. BANNED NO LONGER appeared to run awkwardly throughout the race and went backwards to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary check on BANNED NO LONGER revealed nothing amiss.
Race 5	Challenge Opawa All Up Sprint - C0 - 295	OHOKA HAPPY missed the jump and never recovered. On the turn NGAPARA ran out and collided with CRASH GYBE.
Race 6	Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1q - 520 Heat 1	MULBERRY ROSE was up handy in the run to the first turn but ran out wide and lost all chance. A post race veterinary check showed the dog to have a small tear in the right triceps with a 21 day stand down recommended.
Race 7	Canteen - Supporting Young Kiwis Living With Cancer - C1 - 295	In the run to the turn ICE ICE AMY moved outwards and forced ROTKARA OLLIE wide.
Race 8	Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1q - 520 Heat 2	UNDER COVER was slow to leavd the starting boxes. In the run to the first turn BOTANY GARETH ran sharply inwards and checked the running of TOKEN RAGE and HAMPDEN JACK.
Race 9	Hampden Tavern Distance - C0d - 645	Into the straight for the first time PEGSON FIRE and OPAWA SECRET collided and lost all chances.
Race 10	Shirley veterinary Centre Stakes - C1q - 520 Heat 3	SUPERIOR RANK was very slow to jump. HOMEBUSH OSO faltered into the back straight, pulling up and taking no further part in the race. A post race veterinary check of HOMEBUSH OSO showed the dog to have a fractured hock and the greyhound was euthanased on welfare grounds.
Race 11	Shirley veterinary centre Stakes - C1q - 520 Heat 4	WHO'S YA DUFFER was very slow to jump and lost all chance. From the jump TIAN HAO SURFER ran inwards and SOFIA'S GIRL pushed outwards with a resulting check to OZARK'S COVER and LANA CEE. On the first turn FRITO BANDITO checked off TIAN HAO SURFER when vying for the lead.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C1 - 295	From the jump HOMEBUSH TIME ran inwards and checked LINDSAY CLEEVE.
