Judicial report: HAPPY CLAPPY was scratched from Race 7 without penalty after the dog was sold and removed from the Ahern kennels for a period of time. The sale was subsequently cancelled and HAPPY CLAPPY was returned to the Ahern kennel but the fact that the dog was absent from those kennels for a period of time was considered a valid reason for scratching without penalty.

Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0q - 305 Heat 1	SAMMY UTAR was slow to begin losing five lengths and she stayed back to finish last. MISS YOU HONEY ran in approaching the first corner and checked MILLIE SWANSON and MARJI MAYCEE who both lost ground but they recovered to finish in 3rd and 4th places. WAIRERE MIRACLE, HOMEBUSH HIFI and DUBLIN BAY jostled together on the first corner and all three lost ground in the incident and finished in the last half of the field.
Race 2	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C0 - 520	FAST PAUSE ran in from the start and checked FAWN ALLEGRO, BLUE JEAN ALICE and TWIN TIGERS who all lost a little ground.
Race 3	GUTHRIE BOWRON, WANGANUI - C0q - 305 Heat 2	MOANA BLUE was lost for early speed and drifted to be three lengths last in the early stages but did make up some ground to finish in 6th place.
Race 4	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD(NZ) LTD - C0q - 305 Heat 3	URUTI STORM and MAN OH MAN collided at the start and MAN OH MAN lost ground and settled at the rear but made up ground well for 3rd place. AIN'T NO SAINT moved out on the first corner and forced INTENSE ZOOM, UTAR JET and MINI DEAN wide into the bend and they finished the race in the last three places.
Race 5	VITA POWER - C1 - 520	SURF SUNSET was slow to begin losing three lengths. FLOATING AWAY suffered a webbing injury and was stood down for 14 days.
Race 6	OFFICEMAX - C1 - 305	The favourite GENISTA LIGHTNIN was handy to the first corner but collided with STATE OF PARDON and went back and out colliding with CAWBOURNE TOUCH and TUI CAN DO and causing severe checks to those runners. GENISTA LIGHTNIN fell in the incident and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 7	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 8	MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 9	BILDERBECK CONSTRUCTION - C1 - 305	YA GUNNA was checked back to last in the race to the first corner and soon after, HOMEBUSH JAG was checked and fell and as a result was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with discomfort in both hocks. THRILLING DEE was also checked in the incident losing ground and finished in 2nd last place and just ahead of HOMEBUSH JAG.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE - C1f - 520	KIWISAVER and CUTIE TWO were both checked and forced wide over extra ground into the first bend and they stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 11	GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C1 - 305	The favourite ADDICTED TO LUV was one of the slowest to begin but secured a good clear run through on the inside to win with ease.
Race 12	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH DAPHNE checked off the heels of a runner ahead on the bend and dropped back onto LOST FRIENDS and they both lost ground and finished in the rear group.
