Race 2 | WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C0 - 520 | AMAC CROOK drew box 8 and he tailed the field from the start, ran wide on both bends over extra ground and finished several lengths last . He appeared to be walking normally after the race but was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
Race 3 | GUTHRIE BOWRON, WANGANUI - C1 - 305 | CRYSTAL BANNER was slow to begin losing three lengths. She then raced up inside UTAR BIG RIG who was moving in on the first corner and they made contact and checked losing ground. THRILLING DEE was also affected in the incident and they finished in the last three places. |

Race 7 | MEDIA WORKS - C2 - 305 | DEL TONES ran in from the start and checked PINTA GUINNESS and UNCOMPRISING who both lost a little ground. THRILLING SIMONE was checked on the first corner and she went back to last and stayed there to the finish. |
Race 8 | MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR - C1q - 520 Heat 2 | HOMEBUSH NELSON and WHAT WAYS HOME were checked and forced wide over extra ground on the first corner and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. |
Race 9 | BILDERBECK CONSTRUCTION - C1 - 305 | UPAHUT WITCH ran in from the start and caused checks to BOTANY ANGELA, THRILLING DOLL, CRAZY BABY, CATCH A DREAM and LOST FRIENDS who all lost varying amounts of ground with BOTANY ANGELA being the most affected and she stayed back to finish in last place. |
Race 10 | KEENAN CONCRETE - C1q - 520 Heat 3 | SURF SUNSET was very slow to begin losing several lengths and she stayed back throughout the race to finish last. HAPPY CLAPPY and ELLA'S ANGEL jostled together for several strides in the run to the first corner and HAPPY CLAPPY eventually checked and lost ground. |
Race 11 | BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C1 - 305 | SINGLE SCULLER was checked soon after the start and lost three lengths and all chance of a placing. UTAR NANA and PHANTOM FOG were both checked and also lost three lengths and all chance on the first corner. |
Race 12 | MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1 - 305 | CHASIN' CROWS was the slowest to begin but he recovered very well to win the race. IN TENT faltered slightly on the first corner and he dropped out to finish several lengths last. IN TENT was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
