Judicial report: Trainer P Freeman was questioned as to the non withdrawl of STAR TO EXCEL in race 8 on todays card. He told the stewards that there was a mix up with the other scratchings of the kennels due to two dogs having similer kennel names
STAR TO EXCEL was decleared a late scratching by the stewards as he was enaligable to start in any case.
STAR TO EXCEL had been stood down with an injury at the Waikato GRC meeting on 26.8.2010
P Freeman readily admitted a charge of negligance under Rule 88.1o and was fined $100.00 ,plus STAR TO EXCEL has been given 28 day stand down under rule 64.5.
No dogs where denied a start because of this error in race 8.

HYPER WAVE ( l j Ahern) a runner in race 5 was sent for a veterinary examination post race due to the stewards concern of his performance during the running of the race.
The vet found graciis and quadriceps pain with a 10 day stand down recommended.
Kennel representitive M Gardner was questioned regarding any issues with the dog and suggested that he may have been treated for a possable (PANNUS) condition of his offside eye.
The course veterinary surgeon Mr C Boyce was also questioned as to wether this condition may have been present, headvised the stewards that he checks dogs vision in his pre race kenneling and did'nt feel that there was an issue with this dog at that point,however he did confirm that the dog had been under treatment for this condition previously.

The stewards reviewed the film of the race running several more times and felt that in the interests of the dog it is to be stood down under Rule 81.1 for 28 days to under go further evaluation and treatment if nessasary, also to do a satisfactory trial and be vetted and cleared of any vision impairment if found before being nominated to race again

Race 1	Awapuni Stakes - C0 - 457	Soon after leaving the boxes JUST TOM got on the heels of CASUAL TEA ,both dogs moved outwards and made contact soon after with JUST TOM running out in to the line of QUEEN MOTHER pushing her wider at that point. HAPPY CLAPPY was the early leader with QUICK KNOCK until on the point of the top bend where they went out wide ,as they raced in to the home straight JUST TOM was pushed out again as CASUAL TEA raced up on his inside at that point.
Race 2	Peter Sinclair Photos - C0 - 375	From the jump STATE OF PARDON came across the face of the field to the rail causing the dogs inside him to check momenterily, a few strides further on KRUSSIAN came across towards the rail fast and ran in to LISSADELL REBEL who was severly checked at that point , KRUSSIAN ran up onto the rail and still ran on well for third at the line and was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found SPIRAL EBONY was vetted after the race and was found to have suffered a laceration to digit 3 right hind with a 10 day stand down recommended.
Race 3	GEON Wellington - C1 - 375	PIN UP PUPPY came across fast from box 6 and caused tightning to CAULDRON and CATCH A DREAM for a few strides as the field raced in to the first turn PIN UP PUPPY went out wide and came together with YA GUNNA ,with both racing wide across the top bend.
Race 4	Foxton Dash - C2 - 375	All clear
Race 5	Cloverlea Stakes - C1 - 457	MR METICULOUS (fav) was slowest away and was held up in behind in the run down to the first turn , as the field raced across the top bend he tried to make up ground ,but ran up on to the heels of HOMEBUSH MELL and was almost stopped in his tracks going further back towards the rear and was not able to recover, HYPER WAVE led out early ,was then tightened slightly as dogs came around him ,he received a check and went back to the rear and finished in last position at the line HYPER WAVE was sent for a vet check ,the stewards reviewed the film of the dogs performance, after being checked , after vetting he was found to be suffering from gracilis and quadriceps muscle soreness with a 10 day stand down recommended Due to other factors concerning the dogs physical condition he has been stood down pending further evaluation (refer judical report)
Race 6	Hokowhitu Dash - C3 - 375	All clear
Race 7	Woodville Dash - C4 - 375	On the point of the top bend CRYSTAL KATIE ran up onto the heels of MARCO POLO and lost several lengths at that point
Race 8	Riverdale Stakes - C4 - 457	STAR TO EXCEL was stood down at waikato on 26.8.2010 , and was inadvertently left off the trainers scratching list the previous day for todays meeting, was declared a late scratching (refer judical)
Race 9	Manawatu Raceway Sprint - C5 - 375	POWERFUL ENEMY was away well from the boxes ,but could not muster his usual pace to get to the lead and was kept out by the inside runners ,he was noticed to be not comfortable in his action and was sent for a vet check as a precaution where he was found to be suffering from left gracilis muscle injury with a 10 days stand down recommended
Race 10	NZRS - NZRSq - 457 Heat 1	In the run down to the first turn OKAY'S DERMATOFF cut down to the rail sharply and caused KNOW PROOF to clip her heels and fall. OKAY'S DERMATOFF hit the rail at that point losing some ground and was sent for a vet check.where she was found to have slight abrasions with no stand down recommended. KNOW PROOF regained his feet and completed the race some distance behind the field and was sent for a vet check where he was found to have suffered a quadriceps injury with a 7 day stand down recommended. OPAWA COLLAR was found to be suffering from a left triceps injury at kennelling and was declared a late scratching on veterinary advice.
Race 11	NZRS - NZRSq - 457 Heat 2	KAZZ RAZZ was best away and led early , was then tightened by THRILLING BASH and BILLYBOB RAY coming over on him causing him to be checked back where he lost several lengths that he could not make up thereafter.
Race 12	NZRS - NZRSq - 457 Heat 3	THRILLING CAIRO was awkwardly away from the start losing several lengths. As the field raced down to the first turn HAILEY'S AGENT came down to the rail causing CHILE TART and MAMAJA to run out of room ,being squeezed back towards the rear ,they where not able to get back in to contention from there on in
