I'M A FOOL was handy early but dropped away to finish a long last. Trainer A Bymolt was informed that a better performance would be expected at this dog's next start. |
| Race 2 | Trophies Plus Sprint - C0 - 318 | HILOW was last to jump but ran on well for fourth. BUCCAN ROAD ran outwards into the bend slightly checking BEA LORIAN who dropped right away finishing a long last. A post race veterinary check of BEA LORIAN revealed a torn hip support muscle with a twenty eight day stand down recommended. |
| Race 3 | McGhie Plumbing Stakes - C0 - 527 | CORNELIUS was very slow to jump and was then held up for room when attempting to improve at the end of the back straight. When clear he stormed home for second. BURN FOR US checked outwards off WINSOME JOLIE into the first bend and lost some momentum. |
| Race 4 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C5 - 318 | LIGHTS AND MUSIC ran inwards on the home turn checking BRIGHT CONQUEST with both dogs losing some ground. This race was run in torrential rain. |
| Race 5 | Ashford Boarding Kennels & Cattery Stakes - C1 - 527 | JAYDEN'S COURAGE ran inwards soon after the jump checking SPARROW HAYES who stumbled and lost ground. GRADUATED CLASS checked outwards off JAYDEN'S COURAGE on the first bend and checked JOHN DEED who was improving around the outside with JOHN DEED losing some ground. In the back straight STRIKE ONCE ran wide and pushed JAYDEN'S COURAGE over extra ground with both runners losing their places. On the home turn JAYDEN'S COURAGE and SPARROW HAYES came together while SECRET CHLOE ran wide on the home turn causing another check to JAYDEN'S COURAGE. A post race veterinary check of SPARROW HAYES revealed a grazed pad with a fourteen day stand down recommended. |
| Race 6 | Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint - C1 - 318 | TODD and ROLLED OATS were slow to jump. General tightening into the first bend caused PYFO WILLIE to be dragged down and lose his chance with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. THRILLING HONEY was found to have a torn dew claw after the race but no stand down was deemed necessary. |

Into the bend FLIRTINI, CYCLONE HOOLEY and THRILLING SNOW all came together with MISSY JEWEL being badly checked in behind them dropping to the rear A post race veterinary check of MISSY JEWEL revealed a ripped toenail with a ten day stand down recommended. |
| Race 9 | Carol's TABs Stakes - C2/3 - 527 | CLASSY FORT ran outwards into the first bend off the pacemaking SHINE FOR US with BOON DOCK being tightened in between these runners. ITCHICOO PARK was observed to have a bleeding nail after the race but no stand down was considered necessary. |
| Race 10 | Protector Safety Sprint - C4 - 318 | BLACK COUGAR was a clear last on jumping. Into the bend PICCADILLY LINE was moved outwards by an improving PUNK SCOOTER with PICCADILLY LINE then coming together with THRILLING WAG and checking that runner out of the race. PICCADILLY LINE then dropped right away to finish a long last with a post race veterinary check revealing a torn long head triceps muscle with a twenty one day stand down recommended. |
| Race 11 | Magness Benrow Stakes - C3/4 - 527 | SLICE OF MAGIC was again very slow to jump and received a check when improving at the end of the back straight. He made ground for fourth. SEPTEMBER BLUE was also slow to jump. STARSHINE GIRL was badly tightened at the end of the back straight and dropped to the rear. ST. WILD was observed to hit the lure with some impact with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
