| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C0 - 305 | The favourite MISS TYRA began a little awkwardly and was then checked when MAN OH MAN moved in and she settled at the rear, ran a little wide on the bend and stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 2 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C0 - 520 | GENTLE ATTACK moved in on the first corner and checked BLUE JEAN ALICE and MISS COOKA who went back and out and checked HOMEBUSH BAZIL. Soon after MISS COOKA moved back in and checked ALWAYS A PIRATE who went out and collided with HOMEBUSH BAZIL and fell and HOMEBUSH BAZIL was badly checked losing several lengths. ALWAYS A PIRATE suffered fatal neck injuries in the fall. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1 - 305 | SECRET CHLOE moved out and AS FAST AS moved in soon after the start and this resulted in checks to runners drawn between with CAWBOURNE STEFFI being the most affected and she lost four lengths. DAPPER moved in on the first corner and caused checks to AS FAST AS and MISS TORI who both lost ground. |
| Race 4 | Media Works - C1 - 520 | SURF SUNSET and KIWISAVER were both checked and lost ground when racing inside ASK PLEASE as they entered the final bend. |
| Race 5 | Harrison Hire Master Final - C1f - 305 | Tightening on the first corner resulted in FLASH TRAV and VIOLET JAZZ falling and ADDICTED TO LOVE, SCAMPER CLAIR and HE'S A LION being severely checked and losing all chance. FLASH TRAV, SCAMPER CLAIR and VIOLET JAZZ were examined by the Vet and SCAMPER CLAIR was stood down for 7 days with tricep bruising and VIOLET JAZZ was cleared of injury. FLASH TRAV was also stood down for 7 days with a deltoid muscle injury. |
| Race 6 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C1 - 520 | CAWBOURNE SNOWY was checked on the first corner losing a little ground and soon after SHEZA RATBAG was checked and fell and CAWBOURNE SNOWY was badly hindered in the incident losing all chance and he finished in 7th place. SHEZA RATBAG was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with minor cuts. |

| Race 8 | OfficeMax - C1 - 520 | UPAHUT CITY and MUSTARD KEEN collided on the first corner losing ground and they settled at the rear. BOTANY ANGEL finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services - C1 - 305 | CRYSTAL BANNER went up in the air with the box lids opening and she lost several lengths. |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete, Wanganui - C2 - 305 | One of the better supported runners ACHEW ACHEW was the slowest away and settled at the rear. ACHEW ACHEW and LOONEY LEE were then checked on the first turn losing ground and they stayed back to finish in the rear group. |
| Race 11 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - C1 - 305 | POLLY'S PRINCESS was checked soon after the start and she went back to last and stayed there throughout the race. TONY'S PEDRO ran very wide on the bend over extra ground and she finished in 5th place. |
