| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C2 - 305 | HOMEBUSH KALAMA moved out slightly on the first corner and checked SWIP TASTIC who almost fell and CHASIN' CROWS and they both lost ground and finished at the rear. SWIP TASTIC was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a split webbing on a fore foot. LEVERAGE appeared to make contact with the rail on the bend and its galloping action was awkward from there to the finish and he finished 6th but several lengths from the 5th dog and just ahead of the previously checked runners. He was also examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. |
| Race 2 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C3 - 305 | LAW'S HILL, AWESOME VINTAGE, YALDHURST FLYER, GYM CLASS HERO and TIM BAXTER were all checked on the first corner losing several lengths and they stayed back to finish in the last five places. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1/2 - 520 | UPAHUT CITY moved out on the first turn and RESONATOR moved in and this resulted in jostling to DAPTO TOKEN, WANDY KYLE and HOMEBUSH SHEDAN who all lost some momentum in the incident with WANDY KYLE being the most affected but he recovered to make up ground for 4th place. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood(NZ) Ltd - C3 - 305 | The favourite MINDARIVA jumped well enough but was checked soon after and went back to last. He then ran very wide over extra ground on the bend and into the straight and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 5 | Vita Power - C2/3 - 520 | BLAKE'S ANGEL and FANTASY BAXTER collided and lost ground on the home turn but they were back at the rear at the time and the incident did not affect their chance of a dividend placing. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C5 - 305 | CAWBOURNE CLICK moved in soon after the start and checked ROUGH ENFORCER and SWIFT CONQUEST who both lost ground. |
| Race 7 | Bilderbeck Construction - C5 - 305 | OCTANE SPARK ran out and UPAHUT STAR ran in from the start and ANOTHER MANGLES who was drawn between them was checked back to the rear. UPAHUT STAR and OCTANE SPARK continued to jostle together for several strides and UPAHUT STAR lost further ground. THRILLING MIX galloped onto the heels of JILL BAXTER on the first corner and went back onto UPAHUT STAR and they went back to the rear and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Mickeys Super Liquor - C4/5 - 520 | GONE ZILLA was checked soon after the start and settled near the rear and he never improved and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services - C4 - 305 | CAWBOURNE CART was jostled for a few strides early in the race as runners drawn further out moved across. CAWBOURNE CART brushed against the rail on the first corner but recovered quickly without losing ground and she was then galloped on by BOMBER MAN when entering the home straight and they both finished in the rear group. |
| Race 10 | OfficeMax - C4 - 305 | RAISINS, HOMEBUSH LENNY and ROBOTUSSEN jostled together for several strides soon after the start and settled back. BIGTIME ACHIEVER was checked and lost ground on the bend and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. |
