| Race 2 | Media Works - C0 - 520 | SAM BAXTER was a little slow to begin and then he drifted back to race some distance behind the other runners and appeared to make contact with the rail on the first bend and eventually finished several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a wound and bruising to an elbow. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C0 - 305 | UTAR JET ran out from the start and checked TIZA FEVER, JAZZ TIME and NAKI GIRL who all lost ground and settled at the rear. TIZA FEVER and JAZZ TIME collided on the first corner and JAZZ TIME lost ground and stayed back to finish in last place. She appeared a little sore after the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a dislocated toe. PHANTOMS MASK also suffered a dislocated toe and was stood down for 21 days. |
| Race 4 | NZRS Sprint - NZRSq - 305 Heat 1 | SINGAPORE WILLY and BUSINESS TIME who drew boxes 1 and 2 were tightened on the first corner and checked back to the rear and they never recovered and finished in the last two places. THRILLING ALI had his tail accidently caught under the Lure at the finish and part of it was amputated in the incident. THRILLING ALI was examined and treated by the Vet and stood down for 10 days. |
| Race 5 | NZRS Sprint - NZRSq - 305 Heat 2 | BIGTIME SURVIVOR and BOTANY KELLY jostled together for several strides in the run to the first corner and both lost ground with BIGTIME SURVIVOR being the most affected and he went back to last and stayed well back to the finish. |
