Incident Reports
Race Number | Race Name | Incident Report |
---|---|---|
Race 1 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C1 - 318 | PUNK SCOOTER was slow to jump. Soon after the start IN TENT was keen to run outwards and this together with inwards pressure from PUNK SHOT resulted in WILLEE WINDSOR running out of room and falling. He regained his feet quickly and completed the race with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. WRAITH was tightened for room into the bend and was pushed to the rear with an improving PUNK SCOOTER also being held up for room at this point. |
Race 2 | Trophies Plus Stakes - C0 - 527 | SNOW TRAIL which was contesting the lead with CORNWALL ROAD for most of the race marred that runner for some distance on the home turn and in the straight. Accordingly SNOW TRAIL was suspended for 3 months (2nd offence) and ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial. THRILLING REIGN ran outwards into the first bend and pushed BLUE JEAN ALICE wider around that bend. |
Race 3 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Stakes - C1 - 527 | This race was delayed by two minutes at the request of Raceday Control. WANDY WANNABE and THRILLING SNOW were both tightened soon after the jump. Into the first bend LUCKY STREAK was checked as she came off the rail with THRILLING SNOW and KERRY'S DELIGHT also losing ground. |
Race 4 | Thornton Auctions Sprint - C4 - 318 | In a tightly compacted field BUTTERWORTH, FANCY SPIDER and JAG'S FLYER were all badly tightened and lost ground with BUTTERWORTH being dragged down on two occasions. A post race veterinary check of BUTTERWORTH revealed no injury. JAG'S FLYER was found to have a split webbing with a seven day stand down recommended. |
Race 5 | $25,000 Pick6 Stakes - C2 - 527 | WANDY KYLE ran inwards at the jump tightening MADDER THAN and HOMEBUSH SHEDAN who settled well back. On the home turn PRINCESS SHILOH ran wide pushing MADDER THAN wider with both runners losing ground. |
Race 6 | Greyhounds North Distance Series Final - C0df - 603 | DAME DIMANTE checked outwards into the first bend pushing COOL ANNA wider around that bend. On the next bend DAME DIMANTE checked outwards off the back of BROTHER RABBIT and lost a length. |
Race 7 | Auckland Co-op Taxis Sprint - C5 - 318 | NATIONAL DEBT drifted to the rear soon after the jump. ONIE'S LAD and JILL BAXTER came together when well back into the first bend. On the home turn NATIONAL DEBT ran outwards sharply checking JILL BAXTER who lost her chance. |
Race 8 | Carol's TABs Sprint - C2/3 - 318 | MATILDA'S BEST ran inwards at the jump and tightened JAZZY TOKAAM and KILKENNY who lost ground. Into the first turn MATILDA'S BEST checked outwards as TO THE CREST crossed him and lost ground with LOCHINVAR PRINCE and JAZZY TOKAAM receiving checks in behind. On the home turn SWIP TASTIC ran outwards checking kennelmate KILKENNY for a stride. |
Race 9 | Magness Benrow Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | BUT WHY NOT stumbled for a stride soon after the jump. Into the bend WIZARD APPEAL and OSTI'S RUBY came together with WIZARD APPEAL running wide. This caused SHARMANS MAGIC, BUT WHY NOT and STARSHINE GIRL all to be badly checked losing their chances. At this stage SEASWIFT appeared to falter and dropped out to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing a longhead triceps muscle tear with a thirty day stand down recommended. |
Race 10 | Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C2 - 318 | REGAL REBEL was last to jump. CREATIVE DREAM received a check by LOONEY LEE into the bend when challenging for the lead and lost ground. |
