| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C0 - 305 | ROBERT CRAIG was slow to begin and then checked off the heels of BAILEY WILSON soon after losing further ground. ROBERT CRAIG then made contact with the rail on the first corner and dropped out to finish several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master - C0 - 520 | RIDDLE BOY raced onto the heels of KEACHY'S MATE on the first corner and they both lost ground and went back causing checks to ALWAYS A PIRATE and MISS SNOW ANGEL who went back to the rear. MISS SNOW ANGEL recovered best of all to finish in 4th place with the other three finishing in the last three places. |
| Race 3 | Broad Roofing Services, Wanganui - C0 - 305 | MR METICULOUS was a little slow to begin from box 1 and then ran out in the run to the first corner. On the first corner MAN OH MAN ran in and TINY TITCH moved out and this resulted in MR METICULOUS and SHADES being checked and losing all chance. SHADES appeared sore after the race and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a sprained wrist. MAN OH MAN turned its head towards ALL ABOUT LOUD in the home straight and he was examined by the Vet and found to have a deltoid injury requiring a 7 day stand down. However, he was stood down for 3 months for a 2nd offence under Rule 80.1 b and is required to complete a satisfactory trial. |
| Race 4 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1 - 520 | The favourite COLD GIN was checked on the first corner and went back causing a check to WHAT WAYS HOME who went back to last. BRUTUS FINALE was checked on the first bend and went back and out causing checks to COLD GIN and WANDY KYLE who both lost ground but run on to finish in 4th and 5th places. |
| Race 5 | Wanganui Security Services - C1f - 305 | OPAWA MISSY was checked on the first corner losing several lengths and she went back to last and stayed there for the remainder of the race. |
| Race 6 | Bilderbeck Construction, Wanganui - C1 - 520 | KIWISAVER was awkwardly placed inside GO BOOF on the first bend and held up for several strides. He then made ground until having to ease over the heels of BOTANY ANGELA on the final bend and made up ground from there to finish in a deadheat for 3rd place. |
| Race 7 | Mickeys Super Liquor - C1 - 305 | HAGLER was slow to begin and stayed back throughout to finish in last place. BIGTIME LUCKY and PHANTOM FOG were handy enough on the first corner but were checked losing three lengths and all chance of a first four placing. |
| Race 8 | Vita Power - C1 - 520 | JONES BAXTER was slow to begin but recovered quickly to be handy going towards the back straight but was then checked and went back and out onto CAWBOURNE SNOWY. They both lost ground and stayed back for the remainder of the race. JONES BAXTER suffered a wrist injury and was stood down for 14 days. |
| Race 9 | Keenan Concrete, Wanganui, 6 Pack - C1 - 305 | PURE DESIRE, FORGET NOT, HOMEBUSH CINDY and CAWBOURNE DARCY were all checked on the first corner and lost several lengths and FORGET NOT fell and suffered an injury which required the dog to be euthanased. |
